Review: TWIX Shake from Burger King
Burger King just released their new TWIX Shake. The official name is Vanilla Shake made with TWIX pieces and from now on I’ll likely just refer to it as a Vanilla Shake.Burger King describes their new Twix Shake like this:
Cool down with our creamy hand spun Vanilla Shake Made With TWIX® Pieces. Velvety Vanilla Soft Serve, delicious TWIX® Pieces and vanilla syrup are blended to perfection and finished with a sweet whipped topping just for you.
This isn’t going to be very positive so I should keep it short. Let’s review. So yeah, it’s basically 99% vanilla shake and what a bummer that is. Vanilla shakes are fine and this one was just fine, but if I wanted a vanilla shake I would’ve ordered one. Yes there is TWIX in it, but it’s TWIX sand… tiny particles of delicious crunchy cookie, smooth caramel, and creamy chocolate that you only notice when there’s one big enough to end up in your teeth. Traditionally, TWIX bars come two to a package and it seemed like I got a single one of those fun size TWIX ground up in my vanilla shake. At a price of $3.69, I’d proceed with caution on the Burger King TWIX Shake. I didn’t even care that mine wasn’t crowned with whipped cream. I miss the Froot Loops Shake. The TWIX Shake is actually supposed to look like this:Burger King owes me a TWIX. I can understand the difficulty sucking up chunks of TWIX in a shake and the need to keep the pieces small, but make this thing worthy to have TWIX in its name and just hand me a spoon. Disappointed.
Pros: For vanilla shake lovers.
Cons: Needs TWIX. Milkshake photos.
