Burger King California Whopper and California Whopper Jr. Go Nationwide
The California Whopper has been around Maryland for months and for the markets that have been without, it’s now available nationwide. Guacamole, Swiss and Bacon somehow scream California. Well I guess putting guacamole on anything makes it “California”. Marvo from The Impulsive Buy reviewed the California Whopper back in May so I suggest you check it out. 820 calories and 56 grams of fat… but guacamole has the good fat right? I can’t imagine BK figuring out how to do justice to the avocado when they can’t even figure out lettuce and tomatoes. Click here for a GrubGrade Reader Review of the California Whopper. I love burgers with avocado…they should have just used fresh avocado!
I completely agree with you here Jessica. I love a burger with fresh avocado on it. That tastes way better than guacamole.<—that period means I am serious
I think guacamole gives it more of a taco vibe than a California vibe; fresh avocado would make more sense for a California theme. I’m not saying that to say that it might not be tasty, just improperly named.
Nope. Uh-uh. No way. Steak ‘n Shake has had something like this for a while now, and they know what they’re doing. Nothing good can come of a place like Burger King trying to play catch-up to them.
I’ve had that burger at Steak N Shake and its awesome.
well it sure isn’t over here
Sorry, BK. I’m not paying $8 for a California Whopper Combo. You can’t compete in the Five Guys price range.
They would have to bump it up a buck or two to be in the Five Guys range.
Their toppings are pretty much always crap, so I can’t see them having guacamole that’s worth a damn.
