New Pizza Slider from Arby’s

New at Arby’s is a mix of little and not so little.  Starting off with the new Pizza Slider which features pepperoni, Genoa salami, provolone cheese and roasted garlic marinara on a mini bun.  The Pizza Slider joins the Slider family as option number eight.  I love variety.  One Pizza Slider will set you back 300 calories, 17 grams of fat, 6 grams of saturated fat, 930 milligrams of sodium, 23 grams of carbs, 2 grams of sugar, 1 gram of fiber, and 13 grams of protein.

Arby’s Pizza Slider has the same pepperoni, provolone cheese, genoa salami and roasted garlic marinara that you love on your regular sized pizza, but it’s a slider now. The future is now.

On the not so little front at Arby’s are Half Pound Roast Beef Sandwiches.  Nothing new to report other than these are bigger versions of existing sandwiches.  There’s the Half Pound Roast Beef, the Half Pound Beef ‘n Cheddar, and the Half Pound French Dip.

Didn’t see these on the menus today when I went to Arby’s, but they did have a couple new sub sandwiches. One was a four meat sub and the other was turkey and ham. I got the turkey and ham sub which was pretty meh, but my family members enjoyed their 4 meat sub.

The bun should be a decent substitute for pizza dough, but I imagine the sauce-to-dough ratio that we usually see on a pizza will not be as good on this slider. But, since I’m not used to seeing salami or provolone cheese on a pizza, I shouldn’t be expecting a pizza-like experience with this slider. I’ll give it a try, out of curiosity.

I’ve had the half pounders on all three sandwiches. They’re huge and awesome. Downside is they make me so full I have to choose between finishing the sandwich and have leftover fries or finish the fries and half a sandwich. Not the worst problem in the world.

I take the half of your sandwich if you can’t finish it. Lol! The pizza sandwich looks cheap and very small. I bet it will be good. I can’t wait to try the big half pound roast beef sandwich. I wonder if it will fill me up. I hope the sandwich is not like $8.99 or higher….?

The Half Pound Beef and Cheddar looks amazing! I imagine that it is crazy messy though. You wouldn’t want to eat that in the car.

You can eat it in the car. Just park and eat. Don’t try to drive and eat unless you are like stuck in Washington DC area traffic.

Can never go wrong with Arby’s Beef and Cheddar.

But I’m not really impressed with that pizza thing. Looks more like a BK creation.
