Spicy Southwest Salad from Chick-fil-A is Back

The Asian Salad (review) from Chick-fil-A had a nice 3 year run, but it’s time for change.  To make room for the return of the rebranded Spicy Southwest Salad, the Asian Salad is now off the menu.Asian Salad CFAI was always a big fan of the Southwest Salad (review) so I’m OK with this change.  ChickfilA-Spicy-Southwest-SaladHere’s how the Spicy Southwest Salad is described by Chick-fil-A:

Slices of grilled spicy chicken breast, chilled and served on a fresh bed of chopped Romaine lettuce and baby greens, topped with shredded red cabbage and carrots, grape tomatoes, a blend of Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses, and a zesty combination of roasted corn and black beans. Made fresh daily. Served with Seasoned Tortilla Strips, Chile Lime Pepitas and Creamy Salsa Dressing (or guest’s choice of dressing).

Nice. Love chick-fil-a, but never tried their salads since the usually don’t appeal to me, but was hoping this one would return so I could try it. Especially with avocado ranch..

Can you get it with no cheese?

    • Jake says:

You can order any of the salads without cheese. It takes a couple extra minutes because the Southwest and Market salads are general made ahead of time. If a salad needs to be customized (fried chicken instead of grilled, no tomatoes, ect), they’ll do it for you. A lot customers with special accommodations will call in ahead of time and have it ready by the time they get to the restaurant.

First they took away the cole slaw and I said nothing. Then they took away the Asian salad and I said nothing.

Now if only Chick-fil-A would bring back their original Grilled Chicken recipe, I’d be a happy camper.
