I went to NYC last year and literally, the first place I went was a Shake Shack to try it out. My brother hyped the place up so much for years. After fighting school children for a table, I was massively disappointed. I even threw away the fries after barely holding off some soccer mom to keep the table.

I probably wouldn’t ever go back, to be honest. Five Guys is much better.

Hmm, double the price of a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich and probably not as good, sign me up. Ha Ha Ha. No. If there was no Chick-fil-A nearby I would buy it, but that is about the only way I would.

This looks good but I’d rather get a ChickFilA spicy chicken sandwich for much less than $6.29. Is that the combo price?

Looks good, I’d love to try one

Seems to be about the same price point as a Smashchicken, hard to beat a avocado club though

Last night was my first and presumably last time going to Shake Shack. $20 got me and my son 2 single burgers, an order of fries and 2 small drinks. There is a Steak N Shake nearby that serves basically the same food other than the fries being different for a significant price savings.

Not a fan of Shake Shack. I tried it once not too long after they opened one in Baltimore and I was sorely disappointed in the amount you get for the price. The burgers are overpriced hockey pucks and the fries were nothing special, just basic crinkle cuts. I could get two excellent Chick-fil-A sandwiches for the same price as this thing and be so much more satisfied.

I’ve been to the Shake Shack in downtown DC a few times, and have always left wondering what the hype is. A “regular” soda comes in something like a 10oz cup, everything is massively overpriced, and I could make better fries at home.

A Chick-fil-A-style chicken sandwich for $6.29? I don’t get it. In what universe would that be worth $6.29? Someone has to try this and do a taste test! No Shake Shack in Ohio anyway. I suppose we are “flyover” to them. If their burgers are really dry hockey pucks then I will just stick with Steak ‘n’ Shake for my burgers and shakes anyway.

I just tried this in downtown DC. Lots of other folks were trying it too.

First impressions: Small! Same size or smaller than Chick Fil A. Lots of pickles, sauce is tangy. Crust is crispy and seasoned, kind of like BK Tendercrisp. It’s way too thin though and gets overwhelmed everything else. I had to eat it separately to sample it. While the sandwich is decent (better than McDonalds and a hair above CFA), it’s really not worth $6.29.
