New Triple Double Crunchwrap from Taco Bell

Taco Bell in India did it first… but anyway, here’s a look at an upcoming release in the United States: the new Triple Double Crunchwrap.  The Triple Double Crunchwrap features a double serving of seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, and crunchy tostada shell plus the standard lettuce and tomatoes wrapped in a flour tortilla.  Keep an eye out for it mid-July and we’ll keep you posted on any updates until then.Triple Double Crunchwrap

This looks like a possible case of “more is not always better”.

At least it’s a good price for a combo. I spent $16.50 for 2 burrito bowls for me and wife from Chipotle and almost cried. I swear they try to skimp you rice, meat and even lettuce. SHEESH, I am never going back there but will go to Taco Bell more often. Anyways it was like 3465 mg of sodium for one bowl and was thirsty all night.

Agreed – Glad an actually thoughtful comment appears up here before the inevitable long string of pointless regurgitation of the exact same rant they inject into every single TacoBell post that comes up here: “Ermagerd, another variation containing cheese and meat and sauce, how stupid, warblegrrbl”

Looks like a good $5 box to me! I rarely go to Taco Bell, but the Crunchwrap is my favorite item so I’ll be going to try this one out!

Went to Taco Bell today and saw that the flatbreads are back (unless they are a new “version” we haven’t seen before?). They were available in Chicken or Steak for $1.49 each here in Northern CA (not sure if they would be cheaper elsewhere, as our prices are usually higher). Also available in a $5 Box/combo. I tried the chicken, and it seemed spicier than what I remember.

Somewhat related, since they share corporate parents, I think the very best $5 “box deal” going right now is the KFC Zinger. Very filling, hugely thick and high-quality breast fillet, tastes great and then you still have your side of choice and a cookie.

(I get mine with cheese & bacon for like 99 cents more)
