The smoked butterscotch is not good. Heavy on the smoke and light on the butterscotch taste. It makes Starbucks’ scorched coffee intolerable. I love butterscotch and Starbucks isn’t bad with flavored syrups in it, but man, this was terrible. Completely undrinkable to me.

You probably have to take out a second mortgage to purchase one of these sandwiches and the drink. The most overpriced chain in America!

      Exactly!

    • Willhelm says:

We should have a talk about your financial acumen or lack thereof if you believe you need to take out a 2nd mortgage for $6.

You must be fun at parties Willhelm

Yes, there’s always someone like Willhelm at a party, I remember one where we were watching a movie, I commented that one scene the special effects looked a little fake. This guy, removed the unlit pipe from his mouth, and I’m not kidding, said, “actually, all special effects are fake.” Then stuck the prop pipe back in his mouth, as if he had just said something smart. His name wasn’t Wilhelm, but it should have been.

          • Bubbsy says:

Yeah, Wilhelm probably is a lot more fun than someone who will never bring something to the party to share because he’s broke or a cheapskate.
Looks to me that Willhelm just made a harmless cheeky comment.
“…Then stuck the prop pipe back in his mouth, as if he had just said something smart.”” — I don’t see the bizarre connection in your mind where you regard someone putting a pipe in their mouth as “acting smart”. Why do you associate pipes with intelligence? Sounds shallow.
People on here seem to be petty and quick to take things personally lately. Lighten up people, it’s a fast food blog.

Smoky butterscotch sounds like a terrible combo. I would love for them to make a plain butterscotch sauce though.

I absolutely loved the spicy chorizo breakfast sandwich. Before I knew it, it was gone. Definitely will be my new go-to at Starbucks if they keep it around. I also loved the ancho chipotle chicken panini. Nice all around taste, but still can’t top the sante fe chicken panini. Now, the smoked butterscotch latte was okay tasting iced. I’m not fond of hot lattes, so maybe that made a difference. Smokiness was a bit much, and the butterscotch flavor got lost. Not my favorite, but not intolerable. I would try it again hot with caramel drizzle to bring back the butterscotch.

Both sandwiches are way overpriced, the chicken breaks the $6 mark where i am in PA.

The hot latte wasn’t cheap either ($4.75 for a tall) and i’d definitely suggest asking the barista to give it a good stir before handing it over. All the flavoring in mine was literally in the last two or three sips. Still, at that price it really wasnt good enough to order again.

Hey guys!! Starbucks is not that expensive for breakfast. Try some on the Frozen pre-heated Dunkin Donuts crap for breakfast. They are like $6-7 for one meal!!! I would pay for more food and fisher breakfast at McDonalds or Starbucks any day of the week. Agree with Bubbsy…..a Buzz Killington is better than a cheapskate who never brings anything.
