These type of chicken tube-loaf appear on those roller grills at gas stations and convenience stores…. but I suppose dropping them in the deep fryer might be an improvement. Missing the mark with these though – the people who like the Chicken Fries enjoy the ratio of fried coating to that chicken filling. A big sausage of that processed chicken filler wouldn’t be quite so appealing.

Raise your hand if this new item surprises you…

  3. Alek says:

WOW! A brand new low standard. ULTRA LAZY! It seems just a single chicken fry slapped on the hot dog roll and drizzled with BBQ. It like taking existing products and making it “NEW!”

BK is really scraping the barrel and running out ideas. COME ON! Make something better. Change up the breakfast menu maybe a spicy egg patty would be awesome

    • ItWasSeriouslyAHamburgerWithFourFries says:

You have clearly forgotten the “French Fry Burger.”

      Never Forget.

      • Alek says:

That too! French fry burger was the most idiotic idea ever I mean anybody could had just put that together with the meal. Oh also the revived yumbo sandwich.

        • Barnaby says:

I believe the point of the fry burger was so that you didn’t have to order the whole fries & drink combo in addition to the burger in order to achieve the effect.

i’d like to see Whopper Tikka Masala

    • Alek says:

Tikka Masala Whopper does sound good. They need to offer new flavor patties than slapping “new sauces” on top. Tikka Masala can improve flavor.

    • Barnaby says:

Because nothing compliments Indian cuisine quite like beef.

      • doctorx0079 says:

Well, tikka masala is British Indian anyway.

        • Barnaby says:

Thank you, understood, but I wasn’t commenting so on the geography of origin of tikka, but more the style and flavor (indian-seasoned sauce with yogurt and cream), which really doesn’t marry well with beef. But now that I think about it, I suppose I do like a beef stroganoff, so…..

      • rubadub says:

Beef is regularly consumed in multiple Indian states, so your joke is out of ignorance.

  5. Shaun says:

Chicken fries, chicken fries rings, chicken fries dog…..chicken fries nuggets gotta be next!

    • Esther says:

I wonder how chicken fries nuggets would differ from regular chicken nuggets. I’m sure BK could come up with something.

    • Michael says:

Still holding out for Chicken Fries Straw.

Also acceptable, Chicken Fries Bun in order to form a BKFC Double Down.

  6. Snackeroo says:

I can’t wait for the Chicken Fries Rings Whopper Dog!

  8. grant says:

looks like a big chicken fry with bbq sauce…… so like a chicken sandwich in different form and bun

  9. Nate says:

They’ve finally admitted that their chief competitor now isn’t McDonald’s.

    It’s Speedway.

  10. BigBelly says:

    That looks fowl

  11. Scot says:

It is just a tube of chicken on a Hot Dog bun with BBQ sauce, for 2.29. But it’s not round it’s more almond shaped

these are the days of miracle and wonder

We need to improve the the quality of our food. You know, make it taste better. That’s how we’ll get more customers.

Oh man, that sounds hard. Why don’t we just put out something wacky every 6 weeks or so?

    Ok, sure.

  14. Jonathan Wayne says:

They just don’t give a f*ck anymore, do they? They have basically just given up and said, just push as much crap out there to the public as we can sell. This is a new low.

    • stilletkniv says:

Wow – you’re very emotional and dramatic about fast food. Does it bother you that deeply that BK is so successful in spite of offering things that you don’t like?

      • MP says:

Has McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Arby’s or even Subway come out with something this stupid?
Remember when Burger King used to actually sell burgers?

        • stilletkniv says:

As stupid as what? It’s a fried chicken patty in a different shape, it doesn’t set me alight but it’s hardly idiotic … man it’s funny that some people get all upset about these things. Seriously, is it a fragile ego thing? “STOP LIKING WHAT I DON’T LIKE!!!!!”

          • MP says:

It’s stupid because Burger King already has 6 types of chicken products (crispy Jr, original salt lick sponge, Tendercrisp, grilled, chicken fries, nuggets) why do we need a 7th chicken option? Just tired of how lazy Burger King is & it’s just another excuse for them to overcharge 2x+ for a product in a hot dog bun. Plus they already have a chicken & BBQ option in the Rodeo Chicken Sandwich. It’s just one lame gimmick after another, & apparently they stole the Mac n Cheetos from Vulgar Chef, too.
All of this would actually be forgivable if they only did one thing right – and that’s make a decent burger. But they don’t. They refuse to deal with improving their core menu & instead introduce one dumb product after another. Look what happened to McDonald’s when they had too many items on their menu: the speed of service suffered. More is not always better.

After they slipped to number 3 in the US, they have been throwing out anything and everything in the hopes that something catches fire and vaults them back up. They are basically praying for a Doritos Tacos type boom. While I am sure it won’t work, it has been a nice ride since then.

  15. CulinaryZerg says:

I’ve an idea perfect for BK: Burger fries!

Just take their burgers (or hot dogs, no shame), bread them, and sell 12 fry-sized pieces for $4.

    I’ve mastered their ways.

  16. Nick says:

This has to be a bet someone made at BK HQ to come up with something worse than a Whopper dog. Crazy as it sounds, they’d innovate more by bringing in 10-15 GrubGrade readers than through the status quo.

  17. Billy says:

    I like hot dogs

  18. JJJ says:

Look at how much smaller it is compared to the bun than on the poster.
