I just want to be able to get a Big Mac and Sausage McMuffin for $5 … not ~$9. Ridiculous.

  2. Matt says:

Significantly better deal than that 2 for $2 I think. Most of these items are already around the 3.99 mark around here anyway

It seems like all the national media is reporting this as (something like) “McDonald’s more than doubles the price of McPick 2!” and just glosses over the fact that they’re entirely different menu items being offered. What was so great about the $2 McPick 2 — McChicken, McDouble, Small fries… are these things really much more than a dollar anyway? The strange thing about the $5 McPick 2 is the large fries are on it, even though I believe the regular price of a large fry is $2.49 at my local Mcdonald’s.

    • Joe says:

Well, to be fair, even if it is $2.49 for large fries, you still end up with a discount on a Big Mac or other sandwich by doing the pick 5. You could get a large fry, Big Mac, & a large drink for $6, versus over $8 for the large #1.

I REALLY hope that large fries are included in the offer as one of the previous posters said. I don’t understand all of these deals recently only offering sandwiches (Burger King and McDonald’s Lenten fish deal and the coupon on the McD’s receipt surveys.) I don’t really want to eat two big sandwiches; I like having a sandwich and a decent side. If it includes fries, I hope the deal becomes part of the permanent menu. I would switch between the Fish, Big Mac, and 1/2-Pounder all the time.

    • PT says:

I just had it last night…no fries are included in this deal; just the items in the promo picture.

  4. Richard says:

Will the 2 for 5 cost them more money though?? The price of a Big Mac is way more than the price of the McChicken in the 2 for 2 deal.

  5. Shannon says:

So if you don’t pick two, is one regular price?

  6. Clay says:

The way these fast food places roll out their new offers seems very erratic. It’s been in effect here in Denver since at least the 22nd. I had a great time gorging myself on 2 Big Macs earlier this week!

  7. Arson says:

I wouldn’t eat this garbage even if I were paid to do so.

  8. Jonathan Wayne says:

The only thing worth it for me on this menu is the fish sandwich. Wish it was 2 for $4 but it’s close enough. Even the fish sandwich and the Big Mac for $5 isn’t bad.
