McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast Menu Expansion Coming this Fall

Last October McDonald’s went national with their all-day breakfast menu, but the menu has been limited.  McDonald’s has announced that this fall the all-day breakfast menu will be expanded to add biscuit sandwiches, McMuffin sandwiches and McGriddles.  Currently the all-day breakfast menu varies based on where you live and a lot of locations do not offer McGriddles after normal breakfast hours.  This is another opportunity to admit that I’m ashamed to say I have never had a McGriddles.McGriddles

Bacon McGriddles are quite tasty I must admit.

  2. Matt says:

The McGriddle is so good. The sausage-cheese-egg combination with that hint of syrup in the cakes is fantastic. I wish it came with a regular egg by default instead of the folded egg. I hadn’t had one in years and had one recently at an airport and it seemed less “syrupy” then I remember.

    Biscuit and mcgriddle hype.

    • HawkEyeTS says:

Damn right, I was super bummed that MD didn’t get the biscuit sandwiches, so I’m looking forward to be able to pick up a couple for dinner after work once this extended menu goes live.

  4. rob says:

McGriddle is a lot better than I thought it would be.

How about all day lunch? Sometimes I want McNuggets at 10:00A.M.

    • Matt says:

I wish someone would do a breakfast burger. A burger with egg bacon and cheese on it would be great.

      • Jonathan Wayne says:

I had asked this question before and someone said you can just ask for it to be added. I have still yet to try it though, their beef patties just don’t seem premium enough to combine with egg. If they still had the Angus burgers maybe, but I guess I will have to try it with the quarter pounder one day.

      • Adam says:

You can get that at Steak N Shake, provided you have one.

  6. Andre says:

Everything’s here except steak, which is the only breakfast thing I order. Guess I’ll have to get up earlier for that. I used to order the big breakfast, but can’t handle the red peppers in their sausage. Haven’t eaten McDonald’s sausage in 15 years.

    • Blousey says:

You can’t handle the red peppers in their sausage, but you can handle the chopped rutabaga and diced olives that they put in there along with the peppers?

      • M-Logan says:

Is there seriously olives in the sausage?? I friggin LOVE olives. But I still think Hardees sausage is waaaaay better than McD’s sausage. Texture – color – flavor – all better.

        • Cress says:

Definitely correct about Hardee’s sausage. It is great!

        • Blousey says:

Apologies M-Log, I was being sarcastic and having a little fun with Andre’s post. There are only as many olives in the McDos sausage as there are red peppers and hippopotamus toes…

          • Andre says:

Well then they must have olives, rutabagas, and hippo toes because I just ordered a sausage mcmuffin and there were still red peppers. Lots of them.

      • Cress says:

Mcdonalds changed their sausage about four years ago, when they started sausagem on their dollar menu. This was also confirmed
By a McD’s manager. It went from spicy to salty, and that wa it. The closest you can get to spicy sausage at McD’s now is in their gravy buscuit, which is either in their sausage or gravy–so good.

      • Thistle says:

Wait, there are olives in their sausages? All this time, I thought I didn’t like olives. Maybe I do…

  7. Will says:

still no steak, egg, and cheese bagel?

    • M-Logan says:

Oh man my favorite thing on the entire McD menu, but I only have 2 maybe 3 a year because they seem pretty, ummm…..unhealthy with all the oil that ends up dripped onto the wrapper. So darn tasty though, grilled with those onions.

      • Andre says:

My fav, too. I get the steak mcmuffin sometimes when they’re BOGO since they’re smaller. Bagel very filling. Love McD’s grilled onions, especially when well done.

        • M-Logan says:

Never seen a Steak McMuffin around here (StL) but would certainly be willing to try one……what’s on it?

          • Andre says:

Hmmm, I assumed they were nationwide. It’s your standard mcmuffin with steak instead of sausage or canadian bacon plus grilled onions, like the steak bagel. I usually ask for folded, scrambled, or egg whites instead of poached egg so that’s a special order and the kitchen probably loves me.

  8. Jonathan Wayne says:

You have never had a McGriddle, WTF? They are awesome.

  9. holly says:

I challenge you to have and review a mcgriddle within the next week! do it, dooooooo it!

  10. Anthony Campe says:

That steak, egg and cheese bagel is the only thing that makes me feel good about being awake at 8am since I usually work the afternoon shift. It is the only thing to take the edge off of having just worked 16 hours. If I got that during the day all regular like…might ruin it.

    • Jonathan Wayne says:

I thought the MCD steak egg and cheese bagel was the greatest thing ever until I tried the Tim Horton’s version the other day and my God, it is so so much better. If you get a chance to try it, do so.

  11. Robert says:

The thing I like about the McGriddle is that it tastes so unhealthy that I actually stop at one. Unlike the breakfast burritos, which I can easily eat 3 of, which is 900 calories.

    • M-Logan says:

The rabbit turds they pass off as sausage are my main problem with the burritos – but I do sometimes order one (or two) with Xtra cheese so that makes sure it’s fresh. If they offered a burrito with bacon I’d probly eat them daily.

      • Johnnyboy says:

LOL, that’s what they look like. But also look like dog food, small bits of dry dog food for a small breed type.
