My two favorite things from little Caesars, maybe my two favorite things from casual pizza chains overall. Pizza snobs be damned, cheesy bread and the deep dish are delicious for the price.

  2. Johnnyboy says:

Their pizza is nasty to me now. It is nothing but bread. Tastes like you are eating focaccia bread without the flavor.

    • doctorx0079 says:

This. Maybe it’s just my local Little Caesar’s, but their pizza is like greasy bread with no flavor at all. Almost any pizza is better. If you want “Detroit-style” deep dish pizza try Jet’s.

      • Robert says:

It’s definitely your local LC. My Jet’s and LC make identical pizza. Seriously, it’s freaky. So Jet’s at twice the price obvious never gets my business.

        • doctorx0079 says:

How do I get them to not suck? It’s too far to drive for that anyway.

        • Bubbsy says:

For anyone never having had Jet’s – it’s very different from LC’s even though they both offer a deep-dish. Jet’s has a more chewy and dense crust vs LC’s airy/spongy crust. The cheeses are even different – Jet’s is just bland mozzarella and LC’s has muenster blended in giving the cheese more flavor. LC’s sauce is a little more sour. Jet’s is overall quite heavier.

          • doctorx0079 says:

No, Jet’s is quality mozzerella. LC’s is bland waxy grease. It has literally no flavor. I’m serious! Also LC’s sauce has no flavor except a faint sweetness.

Mmm see men, Little Caesars really does care about their customers; this box set is a heck of a deal. I like the garlic flavor (garlic cup).

  5. Coach Davis says:

  6. Yeats says:

I question any hot n’ ready box that can be had for eight dollars.

  7. Yeats says:

I question any pizza that sounds like it could give you herpes.

  8. Micah says:

I still can’t comprehend why anyone would order a pizza and a side of bread. It’s like ordering a baked potato with a side of french fries.

    • Robert says:

Normally I’d agree with you, but this is no “bread”, it’s basically the same greasy deepdish with extra buttery cheesy seasoned goodness instead of the marinara.

      • Micah says:

        Didn’t answer the question.

Why does one order a pizza with a side of bread.

It is not a derivative of pizza. And it’s your opinion on how you compare it to it. It is not on the same level as a pizza.

It is nothing more than a bread side paired with a pizza.

        So why?

    • Bubbsy says:

This is really more 2 different styles of deep dish pizza in one box.
But I’m curious how you feel about a plate of spaghetti (flour, with toppings) with a side of bread (flour)? People often choose a side of starch with a meal to act as filler and provide an inexpensive sense of variety for textures and flavors… it’s a way to satisfy your appetite cheaply while getting more portions out of the more-premium entree.

      • Micah says:

There is one so called pizza. One so called bread item. There is not two different styles of deep dish pizza in one box.

What is your point of reference? You clearly missed the mark.

Who cares what “people” choose. The fact remains the same. One so-called pizza item and a side of garbage.

        • Dan says:

The point of reference is that both the pizza and the cheese bread both use the same dough base. The difference between them is what is added to the dough base – pizza: marinara sauce, cheese, pepperoni (or whatever topping(s)
cheese bread: garlic butter, cheese, seasoning.

        • Mike says:

I don’t see what you’re complaining about. You go into any pizza place anywhere — chain, mom & pop, whatever — and a side of garlic bread or breadsticks or some other bread-based item is almost always on the appetizer menu. It’s really not as unusual as you think. I’ve done it plenty of times.

And have you had the Italian cheesy bread you so thoughtfully dismissed as “garbage”? It’s really quite good.

        • Sascha says:

Never mind my previous reply, turns out you just sound like an ass. Little Caesars Deep Dish is excellent (not Jet’s good, but a great value and very good in its own right) and the Italian Cheese Bread may be the best side item a national pizza chain has to offer.

        • stilletkniv says:

LOL at Micah who is carrying on insisting people answer why they order bread with pizza, then says “who cares what people choose”… You’re a very rational person, clearly. A sound mind.

  9. Joe Cool says:

    I’d rather eat the box.

  10. John says:

    Taking a break from reviews?
