Taco Bell Testing Chorizo Option on the Breakfast Menu
Last year when Taco Bell introduced their new breakfast menu nationwide, I went with the Waffle Taco for my first review. In the review I wrote this about the use of a sausage patty, “This lackluster sausage patty makes me wonder why Taco Bell didn’t go with chorizo. Maybe we’ll see chorizo sausage down the road as a LTO.” Well here you go courtesy of GrubGrade reader Justin who spotted chorizo on the Taco Bell breakfast menu in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
Had the crunchwrap and its my new favorite menu item at taco bell. The chorizo is very finely ground compared to traditional, but is seasoned adequately and has a tiny bit of kick. Finally the flavor of the item comes from something other than the sauce.
On the menu the chorizo is described as “Flavorful Pork with Mexican Spices”. The Chorizo Grande Scrambler, the Chorizo A.M. Crunchwrap, and the Chorizo, Egg and Cheese Biscuit Taco… all priced at $2.79 each. We’ll update you on a potential national release.
