New Guacamole Burgers and Guacamole Chicken Sandwiches from McDonald’s

McDonald’s began testing guacamole as a sandwich topping back in 2013 and it carried over into 2014 with the Guacamole Burger and Guacamole Chicken Sandwiches.  While BurgerBusiness reported test market areas of Southern California and Denver, @Tomboulides on Twitter gave me a heads up that South Florida McDonald’s locations are now offering the Guacamole Burger and Guacamole Chicken Sandwich… and pico de gallo.

The test market locations continue to increase so maybe Guacamole Sandwiches are heading towards a future national promotion.  On the McDonald’s website I found a promotions page which featured the Guacamole Sandwiches and some extra details show “Pico de gallo made fresh daily.” and “Preservative-free guacamole made with Hass avocados.”.  The sandwiches also feature the artisan roll used on Bacon Clubhouse sandwiches.

Tampa Florida is also soft selling these now as well

Something about these sandwiches just doesn’t quite look right.

Is that a special mayonnaise under the meat?

  4. Mcdman says:

    It’s ranch sauce

So they decide to take several standard items off the menu only to add more new items with new ingredients. Okay McDonalds, whatever. Also I never had guacamole from any fast food joint that tasted any good and I don’t trust McD to change that.

ranch seems a little odd, I’d like to either of these with the habanero sauce

Had one of these today in Dunnellon, Florida which is far from South Florida both in distance and demographics. I was very impressed and will definitely order again. One of the better burgers I’ve tasted from Mcdonalds. I thought the combo of the pico de gallo and the guac was really good, definitely above every other guac fast food offering I’ve tried.

I’ve had the chicken sandwich a couple of times now. The first time, I got a giant thick glop of guac in the center, the second time, I just got a thin shmear, but it was more equally distributed. It really needs a bit more guac, and pico, but the lime is a nice touch. Not bad, just could be better with just a tad more substance.
