New Black Bean Vegan Patty and Malibu Garden Vegan Patty from Subway

I went out on my semiannual Subway visit today to look for the new Turkey Italiano.  The Turkey Italiano wasn’t available in its entirety, but I did spot something new to me and vegans should be pleased.  Introducing the Black Bean Vegan Patty and the Malibu Garden Vegan Patty from Subway.

Vegan SubwayThe Black Bean Vegan Patty is described as a “Gourmet black bean vegan patty made with a blend of black beans, brown rice, corn, bell peppers and a touch of cilantro and garlic finished with vegan sweet potato curry sauce.”  The Malibu Garden is described as a “Vegetarian vegan patty made with a blend of whole grains (brown rice and rolled oats) and vegetables (corn, carrots, onions, green peppers) topped with vegan fire roasted tomato sauce.  Priced at $5.00 for the 6-inch and $8.25 for the Footlong.

Hmmm. Hopefully this will work out better than the felafel with the sauce that has to be fetched from the back anytime anyone orders it and always causes mass confusion among the staff.
