Mozzarella Sticks from McDonald’s Getting National Release

McDonald’s Mozzarella Sticks were in test market locations over the last couple of years and we’re now starting to see a national roll-out.  My local McDonald’s in Maryland has 3-piece Mozzarella Sticks priced at $1.19.  Some locations have them priced for $1.00.Mozzarella sticks mcdonalds

Made with 100% real and melty mozzarella cheese breaded with a golden crust based in wheat flour that includes onion, garlic and a pinch of salt. Sticks served hot with a side of zesty tomato-based marinara sauce with Italian herbs and spices. Let the dipping and stretching begin!

Had these last year. I liked them. They were small, but had a strong herb flavor in the crust that kind of made them stand out from an otherwise homogenous mozerella stick market

  2. Alex says:

Had these for a while in Puerto Rico and WA. Never got them until I heard about this rollout from a friend. Both the sticks themselves and the marinara are quite bland and something I’d only get once.

  3. Johnnyboy says:

I am hoping these are very good and stay on the menu. They are in my area, will try them today.

  4. Robert says:

I had ’em a few days ago. Healthier than getting fries as a side, but these aren’t too great.

Pros: Cheap, not too high in calories, marinara goes well with the seasoned breading.
Cons: They taste baked, not fried. Small-ish. Way thicker breading than other mozzarella sticks. Cheese has almost a potato-y consistency.
Depends on the person: Quite a bit of seasoning in the breading.

  5. Eric says:

I have yet to try these as they the locations near me in NEO want $1.50.

  6. Jason Dorman says:

Tried them last week. Very bland sticks and dipping sauce.

  7. BBB says:

They are probably decent if you get them fresh. The two times I had them they were old. But for $1 what do you expect.

  8. Sandy says:

If they were four for .99 I would bite.

  9. Jonathan Wayne says:

Had them a little while ago, they were good, a solid value, they should keep them on the menu permanently.
