New Tailgater Breakfast Sandwich from Dunkin’ Donuts

On Monday, August 31st, pumpkin is back at Dunkin’ Donuts and something non-pumpkin to announce is the new Tailgater Breakfast Sandwich.  The Tailgater Breakfast sandwich features egg, reduced fat cheddar cheese, split smoked sausage, fire-roasted pepper and grilled onion mix plus Ancho Chipotle sauce on an oven-toasted French roll. Breakfast is available all day at Dunkin’ Donuts so take advantage of the Tailgater at any time.

That would be so good if their eggs weren’t horrible!

Do any FF places have good eggs? I mean even panera has gross eggs and I consider them a step above FF. I just can’t get excited about FF breakfast when it’s so easy to make something 10x better at home.

Depends on what you mean by “good eggs”. Closest thing you’re gonna get to “good eggs” is McDonalds (they just crack an egg into a ring on their hot top and overcook it), or these from DDs. No matter what fast food you go to, you’ll either get an overcooked whole fried egg or hyper-steamed folded pre-mix scrambled egg product. You can’t really trust these line food assemblers with eggs any other way. They absolutely despise having to have a job, these heating methods provide the least need for care or attention.

These heating methods provide for the least tisk of illness to the consumer after eating. To say that FF workers “absolutely despise having to have a iob” is so grossly misinformed. We live in a world where it can be exceedingly difficult to get a job in certain sectors. If you have bills or loans to pay, you’ll take whatever job you can get. I’ve known a lot of people in the industry, and they are glad to have a job, even if it’s less than ideal. If you don’t like FF eggs, don’t eat FF eggs. Don’t use their quality to bash the employees.

Grandy’s eggs aren’t bad, I can’t stand most of their food, but their breakfast is actually pretty good for FF.

DD’s french rolls are legit. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. I would get this without the crappy eggs. DD’s food prices though are pretty high for conveyor cooked food. Don’t go there often but I do like their .99 chilled coffee and tea after 3 pm.

My solution: skip the egg. The rest of the sandwich tastes better without it, and is less messy.
