New Grilled Chicken Sandwich from Wendy’s

Although the Ultimate Chicken Grill is still on the Wendy’s website, there’s a newcomer currently available in select locations.  The new Grilled Chicken Sandwich is described as “a juicy, all-white meat chicken breast fillet, marinated in a blend of herbs, topped with tangy herb sauce, fresh spring mix and tomato, all served on a toasted, Multigrain Bun.”

SatelliteIf you live around Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Jacksonville, Orlando, Gainesville, Kansas City and Austin, keep an eye out for it because those are the cities that have it first.  We’ll keep you posted on a potential national release.  Thanks to Fast Food Geek for the heads-up on Twitter.  Nutrition-wise you’re looking at 350 calories, 9 grams of fat (1.5 saturated), 880 milligrams of sodium, 35 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fiber, and 33 grams of protein.

It’s a chicken sandwich with lettuce & tomato. Wendy’s, you’re redefining the word “new.”

That is pretty much what they are known for. Innovation isn’t really Wendy’s thing.

No, KC, that is NOT what it is. I had one earlier tonight. It IS juicy with a great flavor and whatever the sauce is they have on it, and I usually HATE sauces, it is wonderful. The lettuce is dark green and red and the bun is multigrain. This sandwich DOES redefine the word “new.” I am looking forward to the next time I have it.

Just looking at it, I predict we will hear the term “dry & stringy” a lot

Recycling your post, that’s kind of meta. Nicely done.

The greens, the sauce, and the bun have changed…. so yeah, new.
I suppose in your world, every sandwich everywhere is exactly the same because it’s all just “meat, toppings & bread”.
      Thanks for sharing.

That is the driest, saddest looking piece of white meat chicken. It looks like an intern forgot it was in the broiler in the test kitchen

Currently available in Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Jacksonville, Orlando, Gainesville, Kansas City and Austin according to Wendy’s website.

Folks its the exact same grill chicken breast wendy’s uses right now. with a different spin on the build hence the redefining. The dry looking chicken is the same kind you will still complain about regardless of being fresh, juicy, and somewhat rubbery. or old expired, dry and stringy.

Just tried this, I think the chicken is quite different. It no longer has that sortof grainy-reheated quality they used to have. This is much closer to Chick Fil A’s grilled chicken, and has some kind of citrus-herb flavoring going on.

It’s a noticeable improvement, for sure.

    This looks delicious.

  9. Linda says:

Just had one. Not impressed! Bun was dry, barely any spring mix added. Chicken just ok. Nice try, Wendys

  10. Karla says:

Ick, just got one and hate the micro greens, chicken didn’t fill the bun, and there was a dirt flavor going on, hmmmm
