Once in a while they should put the Whopper on the 2 for $5 promo. Especially one like this one if it’s a LTO. I remember a long time ago when they had Whoppers for .99 cents. Two of those were a good lunch. Then a mgmt change that said their flagship product shouldn’t be a value menu type item. Oh well, the good old days.

I routinely get coupons for the BOGO Whopper which is better than 2 for $5. It’s the only BK coupon I use since the rest are garbage.

The whopper was on the 2 for $5 menu in the very beginning of that promo. Sadly the special whoppers were never on there. They are getting stingy with the b1g1 whopper coupons in my area. They used to have 2 of them on each coupon sheet. Now there is only one b1g1 whopper coupon…

      • MP says:

The BOGO Whopper coupons don’t apply to specialty Whoppers, either. Most of the coupons are for that crummy salt lick Original Chicken sandwich or a bunch of Jr Whoppers & fries which I don’t want more of.

If this burger features American cheese, a “three cheese blend,” and cheddar sauce, would that not make it a Five Cheese Whopper. That is, unless “cheddar sauce” does not qualify as actual cheese, which is mildly distressing.

I don’t like special cheese on fast food burgers because they always taste the same as the regular burger, except with extra fast food cheese.

Fast food is limited to the kind of cheese that melts really fast. I don’t care what they call it, the cheese is always pretty much the same. It’s a dairy product that is fairly similar to actual cheese but is not actual cheese.

I agree. The one recent exception I can think of however was the white cheddar whopper.

This one, I am driving right past, though.

    Only 6 bucks…lol.

Tried to get this at a BK in Ohio today. They never heard of it lol

“American cheese, three cheese blend, and cheddar sauce.”

…I’m counting five. Or are they acknowledging that the American cheese doesn’t count as cheese? I’m a bit confused here. I don’t often like to just trash places, but Burger King’s gone so far downhill the past 7 years or so that it’s impossible not to until they put out something that’s worth the calories.

    • Sascha says:

Well, American shouldn’t count as cheese, or even food really, but that would probably throw a wrench in every fast food joint ever. But no, I’m pretty sure there’s cheddar in the 3 cheese mix, and BK isn’t counting it twice.
