Must get those crunchwraps. I hate fast food breakfast (well, sure there’s Panera, but the costs!) with the exception of Taco Bell, and especially the crunchwraps. These look good, maybe they improved the sausage just a bit as well, since it’s more featured now.

Mmmm….warm country gravy from Taco Bell…..

The new breakfast burrito and crunchwrap look good… the CGC is the biggest lie ever. It makes it look like it’s loaded with cheese, but all you really get is like 10 little strands of half-melted-at-best cheese, which is why I don’t get them anymore.

Is the Beefy Crunch Burrito back yet? Spicy chicken burrito? Volcano Menu? Eesh.

I tried the Country AM Crunchwrap this morning and wow, what an improvement over the other breakfast items they offer.

The gravy is savory, salty, and great. The sausage patty was different than the old one. This patty was more breakfast like. The texture is more coarse like good breakfast sausage and the sage is more present like it should be. The new sausage patty and gravy made this a great breakfast item.

I tried both of the new A.M. crunchwraps this morning, and let me tell you, they are resoundingly mediocre. First of all, the big, plump sausage patty you see up there in the picture? NOT EVEN CLOSE. The store I went to – a corporate store, no less – used a miniscule amount of the tiniest little sausage nuggets (smaller than the a dessicated pea, no lie) scattered indifferently throughout the crunchwrap. And the thing was practically flavorless. The California crunchwrap – which I ordered, with some difficulty, with steak instead of their depressing bacon bits – fared not much better. As with the other crunchwrap, the meat, eggs, and cheese contributed little more than texture (a mushy texture, at that), and there was maybe a teaspoon of guacamole on the whole affair. So the only real flavor was that of the pico de gallo, which isn’t half bad, as far as pico goes, but isn’t great, either.

My advice? Save your money. These are absolutely not worth the price or the hype.

I hope my local Taco Bell will let me sub a Fiery or Cool Ranch DLT in that Cheesy Gordita Crunch. Can’t wait to try one.

Don’t listen to Jeff, the country crunchwrap is really quite good. Now, temper your enthusiasm a bit, we’re still talking country gravy and sausage from a TB, but overall mine was presented very well. The gravy had flavor, the sausage (a patty, not these bits they served before) had some texture, and the hash brown, as always, perfected the dish. The only thing I don’t care for is unmelted cheese, and with a crunchwrap this size, the far outerlaying regions of the wrap had some, but over 90% of the cheese was melted well. This is the best of the crunchwraps, and I liked the first editions. 7.75/10

Also had the Freeze, can’t remember the last time I even thought about having TB twice in a 2 day period, but there I was. Pretty legitimate taste, not completely spot on, but certainly gives you the Starburst flavor profile you’re looking for. And for a buck during Happy Hour, it’s money well invested. 6.50/10 goes to 7/10 when only spending $1.

I only get the hard/soft tacos and bean burrito. That’s it. But last time i ate it, i couldn’t stop pooping the next day. :/

i have had two of the country wraps, i have class once a week in the am and the fact that tb offered a bxfst option was a great idea. both times i really enjoyed the wraps, sausage patty, cheese melted and the other ingredients matched well. the best part of it is with a soda i was comfortably full! northwestern indiana is known for bs fast food but these faired well. TRY THEM!
