New at Sonic: Lil’ Doggies Hot Dog Sliders and French Toaster Breakfast Sandwiches

Back in September we brought you news that select Sonic locations were testing Lil’ Doggies… basically hot dog sliders.  Today Lil’ Doggies got the national promo treatment. Lil’ Doggies come in Chili Cheese, Spicy Cheese with Jalapenos and Bacon, and your standard Classic. Priced starting at $1.29 at participating locations.

Sonic Lil DoggiesAlso new to the menu are French Toaster Breakfast Sandwiches.  These are your basic Breakfast Toaster Sandwiches with eggs, melted cheese and your choice of sausage or bacon, but on sweetened French toast instead of the regular Texas toast.

Hot dog sliders sound like a good idea. I could see getting two different ones of these instead of just one regular hot dog.

I had the baja dog and it is definitely small. The thickness is the same as their standard hot dog, but only about 3 inches long. The spicy cheese sauce is pretty awesome though. It was tasty but definitely over priced for the small size, it’s about a two biter

Had the Sausage French Toaster today. It was good, very filling. The toast is not overly sweet, but just right. It is not as syrupy-tasting as a McGriddle, for example. Not really a, fan of Sonic’s sausage, as I think it’s too salty in any other sandwich, but the sweetness of the bread here tones down the saltiness.
