YUMBO Hot Ham & Cheese from Burger King is Back

It’s back! … from 30-plus years ago.   I don’t remember it, but some might.  The YUMBO Hot Ham & Cheese from Burger King has made a return to the menu.  It’s a part of the 2 for $5 Mix and Match deal which also includes the Original Chicken Sandwich, Big King, and Big Fish Sandwich.

Yumbo Ham Cheese Burger KingThe YUMBO Hot Ham & Cheese features slices of black forest ham, American cheese, lettuce, and mayo, served on a toasted hoagie bun.  The original YUMBO from the 1970’s and 80’s was a lot smaller and served on a hamburger bun.  Nutrition info:  490 calories, 24 grams of fat, 1770 milligrams of sodium, 23 grams of protein.

I vaguely remember the original, it was cheap food.
The problem with this one is going to be the bread/otherstuff proportion, too much bread.

I don’t remember this but I’ll give it a try. Sodium is high but what FF isn’t. For the price point, this is a nice alternative to the normal burgers and fried chicken sammies.

Why didn’t they call the fish sandwich The Whaler?

I’d rather have a Black Forest Ham footlong from Subway but that’s just me.

  6. Ryan says:

Like most of BKs menu, that just looks like a mistake on a bun.

  7. Jonathan Wayne says:

YumNo. Arby’s looks a million times better than whatever this is or you can get the much better Subway for $2.

  8. Nick says:

If I owned stock in BK, I’d be very upset that they’re doing this while Chicken Fries remain off the menu.

If the name is too ridiculous for me to say to order it… I’ll pass.
