Zatarain’s Butterfly Shrimp is Back at Popeyes

Last summer, Popeyes teamed up with Zatarain’s to bring us the Zatarain’s Butterfly Shrimp and it’s back for another limited time run.  This stuff is so good it deserves a spot on the permanent menu.  For $4.99 you get eight shrimp battered and coated with Zatarain’s New Orleans seasoning, a side of lemon garlic dipping sauce, Cajun fries and a buttermilk biscuit.Zatarain's Butterfly Shrimp Popeyes

Surprised no one else has commented on this yet. Maybe it’s because I it’s a universally accepted fact that these bad boys are awesome. Dinner tonight!

Just happened into a Popeye’s near work for lunch yesterday and saw these on the menu board. Decided to try them and was amazed at two things:

    1. They were really good and the dipping sauce was nice.

    2. That you get 8 of them.

Mine were served underneath the french fries and so I did not immediately see how many there were. I just assumed it was 6 when I ordered. I was pleasantly surprised not only to get more than 6 but my Popeye’s (maybe inadvertently) gave me 9 of them!

    Yumm!

Not a fan of see food, but do love shrimp, especially when they are fried! I tried these last year when they first came out and thought they were great. Will definitely get them again this time around. Also agree that the dipping sauce was great too!

I wonder if people realize you can pick any side you want at the majority of Popeyes locations. You can get a side of coleslaw, onion rings(which are hands down the best from any FF location) red beans and rice, ect.

Had these today w a side of red beans/rice… they were very good. Only complaint would be the shell on the tail. I ate the 1st 1 whole and wondered why it was soooo crunchy. Also they had a small table card about chicken waffle tenders “coming soon” we shall see.

These are really good. Sadly, my Popeyes doesn’t have them right now, instead they have a kfc copycat item called “Boneless Bonafide” chicken, which is similar to kfc boneless chicken but with Popeyes seasoning and breading

Did anyone notice their drinks @ popeyes?..taste so funny…I guess its the location I go to. Like some chemical mixture…with the flavor of the soda you choose…dnt know how to describe it.
