Taco Bell’s New Triple Chicken Stack Joins Triple Steak Stack for Limited Time

As we reported last month, the Triple Steak Stack from Taco Bell will be returning on Thursday, November 7th.   The Triple Steak Stack (my review) features steak smothered in a three-cheese blend in between a toasted nine-inch bolillo flatbread. There is 3x the amount of steak compared to Taco Bell’s Grilled Steak Soft Taco.

Triple Steak Stack Taco BellAlso available, will be the Triple Chicken Stack which features a triple portion of Taco Bell’s new shredded chicken.  The Triple Steak Stack and Triple Chicken Stack will be priced at $4.99 as an entree and $5.99 in a combo with a large fountain drink.

These are decent when you feel like channeling your inner caveman… but they’re salty as hell, and give me a headache any time I have one. The nutrition facts speak for themselves.

I’ll probably have another at some point.

At times TB really hits the spot, but never a first (or second) choice when looking for FF.

There really isn’t anything on their menu which makes me think I need to get me some TB. I still do love the crunchwrap supreme (love the spicy chicken version). And liked their grilled taquitos as well. But otherwise, their menu and items seem to be pretty boring.

Not sure I’d try this, but did try their cantina steak quesadilla and really liked that.

Also find it odd than when you go to TB’s website and look at the cantina menu, the quesadilla is the only item they show (sure you you can see the other items through their regular menu). And while I know there are still TB’s that offer their breakfast items as well, you can’t find them on their website. Odd.

I’m not completely disagreeing with much of what you said, but chalupas are awesome once in a while.. I can think of few others items from the major national chains that are that delicious.

You do know the Crunchwrap Supreme essentially is a taco wrapped in a different way, right? Your comment makes as much sense as saying “I hate KFC, but I like their popcorn chicken. The “Bites” just don’t do it for me.”

I like their new shredded chicken, but for $4.99 I’d have to really be in the mood for that pure salty chicken.. I can think of several other things I’d prefer in Taco Bell’s menu let alone other places.

I had the new chicken last week, and I agree, it was tasty, but with the .60 cent upcharge on a $1.79 taco, I doubt I will order it again… I can get a much better taco elsewhere for that price

What I’ve been doing is making my soft/hard tacos and burritos fresco style because there’s no charge for it. Adding the free pico de gallo definitely changes the game.

    • Alex K. says:

I’ve been doing that for the past year or so myself. I see no reason to get a taco as it is because the cheese adds calories and is absolutely flavorless… no reason for it. I don’t usually like raw tomatoes, but pico de gallo works for me.

I’m not a fan of the shredded chicken on the Triple stack, I’d rather have it with the chicken from the Loaded Grillers. Also, the new steak tastes like straight up pot roast to me.

Triple steak stack was ok, would definitely be better with some grilled onions and green peppers

I tried the Triple Steak Stack this week and LOVED it. I was also hungry for a drink, and it seemed more economical to add a #2 Combo (double decker taco (?), bag of Doritos, and a drink). And, I love their crunchy tacos, so I ordered one of those. $9! However, the TSS was huge. That was a ridiculous amount of food for one person… ridiculously tasty! I felt like going back again in the same week, but my conscious told me to go home and make soup.

I just ordered the Triple Steak Stack–what ever it was, it did not look like the one in the picture. It tasted “ok”, but the 6.99 + tax doesn’t match up some of the better deals in the neighborhood in the $5-$10 range. I wouldn’t order it again. It’s a 3.99 sandwich.

There food will never look like it does in the picture.
