Grilled Stuft Nacho Coming to Taco Bell December 19th

My sources say that on December 19th, Taco Bell will release its latest promotional item with the Grilled Stuft Nacho.  The Grilled Stuft Nacho features a tortilla folded into the shape of triangle to resemble a nacho chip and grilled.  The tortilla is stuffed (Stuft) with seasoned ground beef, nacho cheese, red tortilla strips,  sour cream and a new cheesy jalapeño sauce.

Grilled Stuft Nacho Taco BellIn other Taco Bell news… any fans of the Spicy Buffalo Griller?  Get them while they last because word is Lava Sauce might be getting phased out.  There’s also rumblings of yet another change to the steak recipe so stay tuned as details become available.  No official statement has been released by Taco Bell at this point.

Hopefully they phase out Lorena Garcia while they’re at it.

The Lorena Garcia stuff is actually very very good. Sadly due to the old reputation of Taco Bell and the lack of promotion, I don’t think too many people order her stuff.

Grilled Stuft Nacho? Oh boy, they really are running out of ideas repackaging the beefy nacho griller in a different shape with some sauce… And if they get rid of lava sauce I will legitimately be sad… over Taco Bell…

Didn’t even read the article. If the lava sauce is discontinued, I will honestly not go to Taco Bell anymore. It’s bad enough they tease with the BCB. Plus, not going to Taco Bell as often as I do would PROBABLY help the heart out… yeah. Lava sauce goes, I don’t go. Idiocy.

    • MP says:

The Volcano Taco was the only reason why I went to Taco Bell. I didn’t even bother asking to put Lava sauce on a regular taco because if they didn’t have any, I would just walk right out.
I’ll probably try this just to see what the cheesy jalapeño sauce is like & hopefully it’s like the Lava sauce.

Sure it’s the same thing repackaged, but I have to admit, if the sauce is decent I bet it’ll be pretty tasty anyway.. as long as it’s pretty cheap I’m sure I’ll get one at least.

Gimmick BS. This is a beefy nacho griller with their jalapeno sauce in it, which they’ve had on the menu for ages. They call this sauce “new”, but it’s probably just that jalapeno sauce mixed with their queso. Give me a break. Where’s the beefy crunch burrito? Taco Bell’s [expletives] me off.

I think it’s a little weird to have my food shaped like something…lol

I’m going to ask for a square one

My area (East TN) was actually a test market for this item earlier this year apparently, since I saw nothing online about them. I’ve had them, they’re pretty good at the price point we had them at ($1.29). They’re fairly large for the price, and yes, the jalapeno sauce is basically a cheesier version of the same jalapeno sauce they’ve had for a while now. It’s no Beefy Crunch Burrito, but it’s good.

Also, on the phasing out of Lava Sauce: A year ago I’d be severely annoyed by this, but since they’ve already killed the Volcano menu, I’ve found new love in the Fiery Doritos taco. And that doesn’t mix too well with the lava sauce…it’s overpowering. So I can deal with it I guess.

I’m so annoyed at them killing established things off. I’m terrified the baja sauce is gonna disappear. After the Cheesy Gordita Crunch became such a monster hit that they had to make it a permanent item, their response was to remove the baja gordita completely (despite having all of the ingredients) and to take it out of the grilled stuft burrito and replace it with avocado ranch….which is another sauce that’s pretty much in nothing else. Aggravating. And while I’m complaining, that delicious creamy lime sauce that used to be on the grilled steak taco was changed too, right? Grrrrrrrr.

Anyway, this looks tasty. The griller is too dry, so I welcome a sauce.

I might give this a try. On occasion, TB can hit the spot, but they really haven’t introduced anything intriguing for what seems like forever.

Never liked their grillers, but hoping this might be a little tastier.

Also concur on the lava sauce. When they originally dropped the lava items, my local TB still had them on the menu for a few weeks afterwards. They were probably the last item I actually liked from them.

Still haven’t tried an item with their new spicy chicken. Used to like the spicy chicken crunchwrap supremes. Maybe next time I go there I’ll see if they can make me one with the spicy chicken.

    • BigBelly says:

I liked the new chicken, but it was a .60 up-charge on a already 1.79 cool ranch loco supreme, which is ridiculous imo

  9. Helldog says:

@ Kevin D – Umm, your food is always shaped like something. Even if all your food was in blob form, it would still be shaped like a blob.

  10. Jay J says:

I wish they would stop using those red tortilla strips so much. Unless you can devour that thing within the first 90 seconds of it being made they just become mush. I wouldn’t mind trying this item with some corn chips instead.

  11. Mark says:

Will probably still give it a try but this isn’t really new. I will be pissed if they discontinue the lava sauce as well! I get it every time I am there, and why can’t they make the beefy crunch burrito permanent like they have with the Dorito tacos?!

  12. Michael says:

You guys need to word stuff better.

All I have heard is the Buffalo Grilled, using Lava Sauce, is getting phased out. Just that one item not all of them people.

  13. Esther says:

Lava sauce seems to be totally gone from my local Bell already. I went in today for the first time in months, specifically for a volcano taco, and sort of stood there like a deer in the headlights when I couldn’t get it.

  14. Kristy says:

No more lava sauce whatsoever at my Taco Bell. 🙁
