Figures. I make a comment about Anytober and this happens instead. Subtember sounds less awkward, at least. Welp, time to take the plunge with that garlic bread.

  2. skipper jones says:

Now if I can only get them for this price it will be nice,my Walmart Subway is notorius for not honoring their promos.

  3. Adam Bomb says:

Heck yes, hook it up! $5 footlongs are a great deal, especially when they are all on sale 😀

    • JF says:

It’s actually not every sub for $5. Just their “Regular” subs. Those that they classify as “Premium” or “Supreme” (neither words I’d use with Subway) and not included in this promo.

      • Adam Bomb says:

Oh right, I forgot that some are labeled “premium”. There are still enough options on sale to keep my happy, though 🙂

  4. Mark says:

Just tried the garlic bread, and could barely taste it with a meatball sub. Was hoping it would be awesome, but Subway never fails to dissapoint.

  5. Ric says:

Weird, the Subway in the Wal-Mart near me had the any $5 footlong deal running for over a year, long after the promo ended. They also have hotdogs and personal pizzas.

@skipper jones: That stinks :/ Wendy’s is advertising the monterey chicken sandwich for 99 cents on TV, and they’re $1.39 at my local store. I don’t like it when certain franchisees don’t go along with the corporate ads.

@Mark: What a bummer. I had high hopes for that bread. I’m a regular Subway customer, so I’ll still give it a shot but now my expectations aren’t as high 🙁

Honestly, people still go to Subway? Why would anybody go to Subway when there are so many more better options. You can go to Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns, Which Wich, Pot Belly, etc etc and get a much higher quality sandwich. The price really isn’t much more either. I really question society when we still have people going to Subway.

    • TJ says:

Here we go again.. I question society when every post relating to Subway on here forces someone to bring up other chains which simply aren’t available for nearly as many people. Why don’t I go to Jersey Mikes, Jimmy Johns, and 2 other places I’ve never even heard of? Hmm maybe it’s because I live in a region of the country where they don’t exist. I guess I should take a flight for a sandwich because Subway is that disgusting. To be fair, I go to Togo’s, Quiznos, Port of Subs, etc. and other local joints as often if not more often than I go to Subway.. but even those places aren’t always convenient. I’d say get a life but the fact that I just wrote all of that would be hypocritical, so I’ll pull a Mick Foley and just say have a nice day.

      • Tom Hart says:

I have to agree with Stan. Subway is awful. I’m a man of the Lord and have to say I chose Jersey Mikes 9 times out of 10. You can tell that Subway just doesn’t have good ingredients, I ate there once a few years ago and said never again. Don’t get why people wouldn’t make their own hoagie if they’re only option was Subway.

      • Joe Cool says:

        Well said TJ! Thank you!

    • Adam Bomb says:

Quite a harsh judgment for someone simply because they don’t share your taste in sandwiches. Not everyone has multiple options for subs. The only ones in my area are Subway and Jimmy John’s. I don’t like Jimmy Johns, does that make me a detriment to society? Geez…

I tried the garlic bread today with an Italian BMT. I’ll be honest…I actually rather liked it; it wasn’t overpowering but I thought it was definitely noticeable. Let it never be said that nothing nice about Subway ever gets said here.

I also saw an advertisement for new creamy sriracha sauce that could be added to any sandwich. I didnt try it, but does anyone have suggestions for a good sandwich for it to go on?

  9. Darrell Martinsen says:

I tried to get the garlic bread at our local subway today and was informed they didn’t have any because it had been recalled. Has anyone who tried it had any symptoms?

    Subway is awesome
