The Subway Steak Melts Collection

So most of us are groaning and rolling our eyes at the featured Footlong at Subway this month… maybe the Subway Steak Melts Collection will help things out.  Any fans of Subway steak?  Nothing really new here, but maybe a slight effort of re-branding   Check out the offerings:

  • We took a SUBWAY® classic and kicked it up a notch. The smokey Chipotle Steak and Cheese features tender, juicy steak with bubbly, melted cheese, all topped off with our Chipotle Southwest sauce.
  • Two of your favorites on one melt. The Steak & Bacon Melt is piled high with mountains of tender juicy steak and crispy bacon, smothered in bubbly melted cheese. What’s not to love?
  • The Big Philly Cheesesteak is every meat lover’s dream. With lots of steak smothered in melted cheese, it’s easy to see why this classic is the taste that Philly is so proud of.

The Steak & Bacon Melt I might try

Whoop-de-doo. Calling anything new at Subway that uses already existing ingredients that anybody can ask for isn’t exactly the same as actually making a new product. Subway has always been sub-par to me.

I really like a lot of the reviews on this site, but I guess it seems odd to me that there are so many reports regarding Subway and Burger King… when it sounds like both chains are almost universally hated here. That’s just my opinion, it’s not my blog, but I just feel like I keep reading the same stuff about these companies. The Whopper sucks. The footlong subs suck. Okay, fair enough. I get it. I’m not a huge fan, but I actually like some stuff from both franchises.

      Just food news

    • Being that both Subway and BK are constantly rolling out new items and promotions, it would be hard for a blog like this not to have a lot of articles about them.

…and yes. I am guilty of thinking the Whopper is a shadow of it’s former self and nothing at Subway is worth anything more than $5. That said, I still like to know what’s going on with those franchises in hopes that they will come up with something to win back my business. I used to love BK when I was a kid, but the BK back then was much different than what they are today. …and Subway? I don’t mind their subs at all when priced right, but I have so many better options that I just don’t even bother with them anymore. Wawa makes a better sub for less, and if I’m going to pay more than $5, I might as well hit up a local mom & pop shop or Jason’s Deli, Firehouse etc.

    I love subway’s bread – am I alone in this? 🙂

Tried the Bacon and Steak melt earlier today. There was very little steak on it. Not worth $8 for a footlong at all. I generally get the Meatball because like a previous poster said, nothing there is really worth more than $5.

If subway wasn’t so greedy they would get a good grade of steak, better cheese and charge a lil extra.
Put these in every location and watch their philly cheese steak become a turning point and go to for quick, satisfying lunch.
