The Chicken Change at Taco Bell
Taco Bell had a bit of a mini-makeover with their steak some years back, and along with the soon-to-be-released Cantina Bell menu, the chicken looks to be following suit. Right now the Taco Bell menu describes their chicken as “marinated all-white-meat chicken” while the Cantina Bell menu describes the chicken as “Citrus Herb-marinated chicken”. The Cantina Bell menu doesn’t go nationwide until July 5th and my local Taco Bell isn’t an early adapter to the new grub. While this is the case, it looks like the Citrus Herb-marinated chicken might be the new standard to be used in all products. Well, if this tiny sign on the drive-thru menu board has anything to do with that speculation.
I’ve never been wowed by the chicken at Taco Bell… sure I’d order chicken products almost every time I’d go, but if there were any standouts in the taste of a Chicken Chalupa Supreme or Chicken Grilled Stuft Burrito, it definitely wasn’t the chicken. I’m excited by this potential change menu-wide and look forward to trying the Cantina Bell offerings in a couple of weeks. “More Flavor To Love” is something I can support. And yes I obviously snapped this photo at the drive-thru and I’m kicking myself for this being probably the one time I don’t order something with chicken. Go figure. (what I ordered… if you’re curious: 2 Fresco Steak Burrito Supremes and a Fresco Crunchy Beef Taco)
