    Fries worth eating

    • Lorenzo says:

I wish they would. I tend to like their burgers more than McDonald’s but hate to go knowing I’ll have to get their fries or make an extra trip to McDonald’s.

      • Mary says:

Didn’t BK use to have these really good tasting seasoned-fries back in the late 90s? I recall Mr Potato Head being a spokesperson for them.

  2. Bill says:

They are going to stop using pink slime?

  3. Justin ST says:

I’m guessing they are probably coming out with a giant burger, or a bigger Whopper?

In other news, I really like what Burger King has been doing. They’re making Wendy’s look bad, with their $5 sandwiches and $7 SMALL combos. Why don’t I just go to a sit-down restaurant for that money?

      • Justin ST says:

John, let me guess, you work for Wendy’s? Hmmm…

I’m talking about Burger King, circa 2012, not the old Burger King, which truly was dreadful. The new owners are really making this place something special again. You should step into a Burger King again sometime. I actually enjoy going there for lunch now. With a new dining area, I think they’ll beat McDonald’s!

        • cheechmo says:

Justin ST, let me guess, you work for Burger King?

        • John says:

I’d truly love to see which BK you’re talking about. The ones in Georgia are dreadful. The stores are filthy, the employees could care less that they are serving the public, and the food is still second rate.

          • Lindsay says:

The Wendy’s I’ve gone to have always seemed cleaner. I’m not sure why BK always appears dirty to me. I like their food but it seems like when I get a burger/chicken with mayo on it I get the “runs.” WTH is up with that?

          • Justin ST says:

Is this letting me post anymore?

          • Scott says:

I’m with John. For most of my life, I’ve rarely patronized Burger King establishments, although there was a short period in my youth where I enjoyed their double whoppers for weeks or months on end (with coupons). I long for those sandwiches again, but their prices have become outrageous (maybe they always were without coupons or specials), and their resulting sandwiches are tasteless and bland. Their chicken sandwiches seem to be made of chicken foam (you know, the foam that rises to the top when boiling chicken). Their workers could care less about their jobs, much less the customers.

That being said, I think things are improving. My last couple of visits (probably last year–I keep holding out hope for those delicious double whoppers of yore) have been much more pleasant, but their food still sucks ass.

Have things improved markedly since June, 2011? Maybe I’ll try them again this year.

A large sandwich that makes you fatter quicker?

  5. Alex K. says:

I have heard they are expanding delivery.

  7. Bill says:

    Big news on April 1st?

    Whatever could it be??

  8. Annie says:

Finally going 2 switch 2 Kobe burger 😉

  9. Crunchytacopizza says:

Maybe bk will start having delivery? I’ve heard rumors.

    • Bill says:

They already deliver in a small area in northern Virginia. I have heard they are expanding to 30 stores.

    • Justin ST says:

Delivery sucks and is way too much of a hassle, especially with current gas prices. I wouldn’t be surprised if some pizza places start getting rid of it.

  10. Melissa W. says:

APRIL FOOLS, their food will still suck.

  11. Rusty Shackleford says:

Get rid of the Chef’s Choice nonsense and bring back the A1 Steakhouse burger?

  12. Chefprotoss says:

I have a feeling this won’t be worth the hype. They already changed half the menu. Changing the Whopper would be financial suicide. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, people love those things.

    • Raiders75 says:

There once was a time long ago, when Whoppers were truly good. That was around twenty years ago though. Give or take a few years.

      • Peter says:

Right on. I used to LOVE the whopper, now I barely want to poke it with a stick. YOUR stick.

        • Scott says:

I didn’t scroll down far enough to see your comment. Yes, there WAS a time when their whoppers (double whoppers, to be specific) rocked! I’m glad I saw your comment, and now I know it wasn’t just my over-active imagination.

  13. Mike says:

Adding alcohol to their menu. It’s been in the works for a while.

  14. Mr Gnarly says:

Gonna start wearing hoodies as uniforms?

  15. Carebear says:

Another mascot, new sandwich, new value menu

  16. Jeff D. says:

Oh, is it the new store renovations? I remember reading they were going to be updating there stores with a more modern dining area.

  17. SkippyMom says:

I am sure it is delivery. They already do it here – and soon to expand out. There was an article in the POST and the reporter was very detailed about how they deliver, their bags, hotness & freshness of food [i.e. they have a two side container for the Whopper so the lettuce & tomato don’t sog up] and he did say it arrived hot & tasty.

I haven’t tried it yet, but will soon. As of now our options are limited to the Big 3 in pizza and 1 chinese food place for delivery – it’s sad actually. Everytime they try to start up a delivery service [you pick from a list of various restaurants, the pick it up for a surcharge & deliver] they have failed. So far we have gone through 3. I wish they wouldn’t because variety would be nice.

I welcome BK delivery – if they get it right.

  24. Kevin says:

    Good food

  25. Jenne says:

new employees that don’t screw up your order every single time you go through the drive thru?

  26. Griffin says:

Because I’m from Ma I’ve got the local spill….. BK is merging with the New England ice cream chain friendlys…. so it will be whoppers and hot fudge sundaes….

  27. Steve says:

I was told yesterday by a Burger King manager that they’re introducing a “Fire Cracker” series to BK. She said that the reason that the ‘Spicy Chicken Crisp’ was discontinued recently was because it would be replaced by a sandwich with a salsa type sauce that would act as the “Spicy” for some of their future sandwiches.

    • Thomas says:

I had a Spicy Chikn Crisp last week. It is one of the few good dollar menu items left.

      • Steve says:

Yea, I loved them as well. They had them earlier in the week but by the end of the week I was told they no longer had them. Sudden quick change.

  28. Koni says:

Hopefully they’re bringing back the Whiplash Whopper.

  29. Annie Benson says:

    All vegan menu.

  30. Sam says:

Probably some new, inbred creation that is nothing more than the bastard child of previously eaten menu items… a la Taco Bell.

  31. Murray says:

    Going out of business?

  32. ChrisSh says:

I can only assume they are branching out into the drone helicopter delivery business.
