New Waffle Breakfast Sandwich from Jack in the Box

Mmmmm, waffle bread.  I’m known to make a killer peanut butter and honey sandwich using toasted waffles in place of the bread.  Try it!  Dunkin’ Donuts kicked things off in the fast food world with the introduction of the Waffle Breakfast Sandwich and Jack in the Box now has a version of their own.

Fried egg, American cheese, and a sausage patty nestled between two lightly sweetened maple waffles.  479 calories, 33 grams of fat

This has got to be better than the DD one, which I thought was horrible.

Have you ever eaten an Eggo waffle that has been sitting in the freezer a bit too long? It gets this frosty coating to it. You try your best to brush it off and then put it in the toaster. The waffle then comes out half soggy and gross and half crispy and delicious.

The waffle in the Dunkin Donuts breakfast sandwich was like an entire soggy, gross Eggo waffle.

looks like something i’d get if i was drunk late at night.. sounds pretty good!

Haven’t tried the peanut butter and honey, but I have tried peanut butter and banana between 2 waffles. So good! Won’t be able to try jack in the box because there isnt any jacks any where close to me.

  4. The waffle buns look terribly “blotchy”. Wonder if they are meant to be “maple syrup patches”, or a result of poor bun-making.

In any case, the IDEA of a waffle sandwich that actually has WAFFLES as each bun, is worthy of attention!

Peanut butter and honey sounds good.

Looks like something you would consider eating while drunk then think “Nah” and feed it to the dog.

If I was drunk enough, I’d probably eat half of it and then give the rest to the dog… so I guess I’m close to where you’re at hah.

Seriously, JITB breakfast is not all that terrible, especially if you feel like it late at night. You might have to wait 15 minutes in the drive thru for it, but that actually makes me feel like they somewhat cooked it legitimately.

This is to compete with the McGriddle. Either way, a diet disaster.

Mine looked NOTHING like the picture… the “waffles” looked exactly like McGriddle pancakes (without the grease).. I don’t even think the employees put mine in a waffle iron… tastewise…meh… same ingredients in a different package.

Waffle sandwich looks not a bad, but it seems to be greasy. I will try it in the situation, it is a very hot-worn-out day or hardworking day.
