New Value Deal at Jack in the Box

A value menu at a fast food joint is usually what makes or breaks it for me.  Jack in the Box is promoting its New Value Deal which features 4 menu items at value menu pricing.

  • Jr. Jack Hamburger for $1.19
  • 5-pc Chicken Nuggets for $1.29
  • Value Fries for $1.00
  • 16 oz. drink for $1.00

A complete meal for $4.48.  Roughly the equivalent of a combo meal.  But at least it’s a la carte.

Will they have an accompanying commercial? I’d like to know more about this evil Jack.

    • Thistle says:

They already do! Evil Jack shaves some guy’s eyebrows off as he sleeps and dreams about this combo. /spoiler

What no taco? I love me a JITB TACO. jack rocks my world

  3. Rachel says:

The nuggets taste exactly like the strips only in nugget form. Not bad.

    • TJ says:

Nice, I was afraid they would be mediocre like their value chicken sandwich, but now I think I might try them.

  4. Colin says:

Looks pretty bland to me. JitB needs to work harder to top the all-mighty king of value menus at Taco Bell.

  5. Mike N says:

The value combo deal is $3.99 for all four items.

JITB has the most diverse menu of any fast food chain. Wish they would expand to the East Coast.

They used to have franchises on the East Coast. We had one here in Virginia back in the late 70’s when I was a wee lad.

      • SPM79 says:

Yeah I heard they had one not too far from where I live in NJ on the NY/NJ border back around then too.

I will try a Junior Jack today. I usually get a Jumbo Jack (no cheese) for about $1.75 out the door. JitB is distressingly close to my place of business.

this will never compete with the value of the jumbo deal!
the jumbo deal was one of the best value meals ever, and it was delicious.
and it didn’t cheat out with a 16 oz drink, they gave you a full sized cup and a really big burger and 2 tacos, and fries! not this finger food chicken nuggets and tiny burger.

Had a Junior Jack and the value size chicken nuggets on Friday. The nuggets were pretty good and a decent snack at $1.29. The burger seemed a little light on the burger part, but tasted OK. I’ll stick with the Jumbo Jack for now, I think you get quite a bit more burger for the extra 50 cents.

Tried this today… The burger is kinda small, but good. The nuggets (chicken?) remind me of the ones they served in school… Just breaded flavorless protein chunks. It’s the price that makes this worthwhile! Four bucks and change for lunch? Heck, that’s cheaper than bringing a sack lunch to work!

Can anyone explain me why you’d consume 16oz of full sugar soda?

    • Thistle says:

Feel free to order a diet one instead? Or I’m sure they’d be happy to fill your cup with water…

They are expanding back into the East Coast and Midwest. The only ones in the South are in Charlotte, NC, just south of Clemson University and just east of Nashville, TN. However, I can tell you they are looking for managers for franchise locations in Indianapolis, IN and Cleveland, OH. That must mean they are looking to expand.

They have plenty of struggling Qdobas on the East Coast. Maybe they will gradually change them over to Jack In the Box, if the market is there.
