OMG it’s finally back? Going to get one now.

  2. SkippyMom says:

It looks really good. Wouldn’t it be nice if they put the amount of meat on ALL their sandwiches. I know, I know everyone does it, but a girl can dream [oh, and it wouldn’t be 380 calories by then either. :)]

  3. kikurage says:

This can be expected, looks good.

  4. Rob says:

time to re-review the original whopper. burger king has changed so much lately

  5. Tyler M says:

This must be why I was able to get BBQ sauce put on my oven crisped chicken the other night. I had never saw BBQ sauce there before that.

  6. Sascha says:

I am so in. Hopefully it can get the taste of that horrible Meatball Pepperoni sub I had a few weeks ago out of my mouth.

  7. Lylat says:

    I need to try it.

  8. Lindsay says:

Looks good, but I’m really picky with my fast food chicken. Whoever has tried this, does it take like “real” pulled apart chicken? Or does it have that mechanical/fake chicken taste that frozen dinners have?

  9. Charlie says:

Honestly who eats at Subway? there are so many better sub options out there. If you chose Subway over places like Jersey Mikes or Stuffys you have something wrong with you!

    • Aaron says:

Better maybe – but Subway is cheap and close to my office, and with a 30 minute lunch break, my choices are limited. I can get a “good enough” 6 inch sub for less than McDonalds wants for a crappy burger and fries.

Though if I have a choice and lots of time, Firehouse Subs wins, hands down

      • TJ says:

I think Subway gets tons of business because of this. We had one near my office that was always packed around lunch, since there weren’t many other food options that were within a five minute drive.

To be fair, they really handled the lunch rush pretty well usually too. It’s not the worst lunch in the world when you don’t have a lot of time.

    • Crysta says:

Jersey Mike’s is too expensive around here. Eight dollars for a six-inch sub? Hell no, not when I can go to Firehouse and get a twelve-inch sub for the same price. (We also like Firehouse better.)

I refuse to eat at Subway though. Last couple times we bothered with them, it was just pathetic. The meat has no flavor, the cheese has no flavor, and the vegetables are nowhere near fresh…

    • M86 says:

I eat at Subway on occasion. Mainly because of convenience… Other than that, where I live, it’s Quizno’s, Lenny’s, Firehouse, Jimmy John’s… or a few local places, but its a 20-30 minute drive to those.

I refuse to eat at Lenny’s after my first (and probably last) experience there. I really like Firehouse, but if you look at the nutritional facts of their subs, it will probably shock you… but they are very good and it is technically fast food. I like Jimmy John’s. Quizno’s isn’t bad either, maybe a bit more expensive. Never heard of Jersey Mikes or Stuffys… You have to remember not everyone lives in areas that have a huge variety of local places available to them.

And if I have something wrong with me because I eat at Subway on occasion, well, then I will add that to my long list of personal flaws. Thanks for pointing that out for me! 😀

    • Joe Cool says:

Could you be any more pretentious Charlie? Jesus…I don’t live anywhere near a Jersey Mikes or Stuffys so I have to pick Subway instead of those. I guess there is something wrong with me…

    • jenne says:

maybe those of us who don’t have any other options…geez…

  10. Latrell says:

Had this thing today… meh… it was alright.

  11. Griffin says:

Had this also tday…If you order this make sure you get extra Bbq sauce… also my chiken had a piece of ligament in it… other than that… descent flavor and texture

  12. Nick says:

They did the pulled pork last year, now barbecue chicken. Where is the coleslaw?

  13. rob says:

I don’t like to have to specify every ingredient in my sandwich.

    • Rocko says:

I know, right? It’s an absolute waste of 10 seconds of your life that you will never get back!

That said, I also had the sandwich and it was, as mentioned above, “meh.. it’s edible”.

    • Todd says:

Rob…I agree. I have never understood why they bother to name them. Why don’t we just buy whatever “meat” we want and charge accordingly. If you want to have some fun with Subway refuse to specify the ingredients…just point at your menu choice and say THAT is what I want.

      • rob says:

I tried that once and was informed that they can’t do it that way, you have to specify.

        • Todd says:

Burger King can make it “my way” but I can just order a Whopper and they know what I mean. If I order a Sweet Onion Chicken Teryaki at Subway they apparently don’t know how to make it without my directions…I love having to specify the sweet onion sauce. Ridiculous. WHY name the sandwiches????

    • Joe Cool says:

I like to specify every ingredient in my sandwich…that way I can have exactly what I want.

Your comment Rob is one of the worst of all time, great job!!

      • rob says:

Well at least I have that going for me, when I get to the Pearly Gates and St. Peter asks me what do I have to show for myself I can say “I posted one of the worst comments of all time on GrubGrade,” I’ll probably get mad props in heaven for that.

    • Jim E says:

Amen to that. If I wanted something different than the listed ingredients I’d tell them. I always just say put whatever is supposed to be on it.

  14. Bob J. says:

Got it today it’s dilicious but not as much meat as the pic but still good =]

  15. Jim E says:

I tried this yesterday. The chicken was better than I expected and had a good flavor. It was similar to the type of pulled BBQ chicken or pork tubs you can buy at the grocery store. I agree with other reviewers that there could have been more meat on it. Overall decent for Subway.

  16. meggs says:

boo! i wanted to hear about the sandwich

  17. Nathan says:

Not impressed at all. My first bite had bones in it and hardly any meat in the sub as well.

  18. laura says:

tried this today. asked the guy making my sandwich to put whatever he recommended on it. not sure what i was thinking because he put lettuce and tomato and green peppers on. the chicken itself tastes EXACTLY like nutrisystem or weight watchers fake chicken. blah! haha, not good. stick with the deli meat subs at subway.

  19. Mike says:

Order this with onions, lettuce, and a little BBQ sauce.. Get it toasted and fagetaboutit.

  20. […] would you look at that, right on time.  On April 15th last year, Subway released the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken and guess what today is?  The Smokehouse BBQ Chicken […]
