Panera also has new “New York Cheesecake” cream cheese.

Well crap, I was considering going to Panera today and veered off instead to the mall food court. That roasted turkey sandwich looks really tempting. I’ll have to check out some the new options on Monday.

The Turkey Cranberry looks good but I’m not sure about a cheese spread with cranberries.

Good lord, that sausage souffle has to be the richest thing they’ve ever offered. You don’t need to put sausage in something that fatty!

I just tried the turkey cranberry sandwich and it’s hard for me to decide how I felt about it and wether I liked it or not. The bread was very good and none of the flavors (turkey, cranberry, cheese) had a strong or overbearing flavor. I wouldn’t discourage anybody from trying it.

I ended up trying both the turkey sandwich and sonoma chicken stew yesterday. The stew was fine, but I personally prefer the cream of chicken and wild rice. I was not a fan of the sandwich from the very first bite. The cranberry chutney was more bitter than I was expecting, the turkey was not great separately, and I ended up not finishing it. I’m glad I got the pick two so I at least had the stew to fall back on.

Went to Panera today (got the usual, nothing new) and I found it amusing that their new turkey dishes are noting that the turkey is “vegetarian-fed” and “antibiotic-free”. All well and good, but IMO kind of a bit much/ strange to feature on huge posters. Also, who cares? And does this imply their other meats are meat/ garbage/ mystery food-fed and chock full of antibiotics? Hmm.
