Free Value Curly Fries at Arby’s on Tax Day

I have yet to file my taxes because I am the epitome of apathetic lately.  This post is a reminder to myself that Tax Day is drawing closer. April 17th is the day and this is one of many Tax Day deals.  A FREE order of value sized Curly Fries from Arby’s.

Since Arby’s instructed radio stations to not air their ads during Rush Limbaughs timeslot, I will not buy from them! Period.

  2. Bob says:

I did not know Arby’s did that. I won’t buy from them either.

Arby’s pulled their ads from Limbaugh’s show in response to something HE did. They don’t agree with some statements he made, so they pulled his ads from his show. They are well within their rights to do it. If you want to boycott them for disagreeing with Limbaugh calling a girl a “dirty slut” because she wants coverage for birth control, that’s your choice.

I plan to take advantage of this offer. Curly fries are the best, and I can add one of their value sandwiches and a value drink for just a couple bucks. Good deal.

  4. Manavee says:

Oh yeah? Well, to offset your boycott, I’m going to buy three fries! And then I’ll throw in three Super Reubens to boot. And then I’ll order an Arby Q while stomping on a picture of Rush.

Seriously, though. Limbaugh, like many conservative and liberal talking heads these days, says outrageous things to get both his audience and his opponents riled up. I’m not surprised that a company like Arby’s would shy away from such a show. They’re literally in a no win situation. If they keep their advertising, they annoy liberals. If they drop their advertising, they annoy conservatives.

The smart money for these companies, IMO, is to avoid politically charged media altogether.

The bigger problem was not that they dropped their advertising from el Rushbo. It was that when they did this and people complained to them via Twitter, the geniuses at Arby’s decided to block everyone who complained.

    Now that’s stellar customer service!

    • Crysta says:

They’re also well within their rights to block people who are harassing them, whether you agree with the action or not. If you made a decision and people wouldn’t leave you alone about it, you would do the same thing.

      • sirfuller says:

i’d agree if they were all harassing tweets but they weren’t. Some of them were just general complaints about them caving to special interest groups. Whoever is in charge of their social networking really dropped the ball on this one.

People are now using the hash tag #arbysblockedmeclub

Not sure that has anything to do with serving beef n cheddars…

That pic of the ‘”value” fries made be laugh. Don’t go to Arby’s on 4/17 expecting to get that many fries, maybe a 1/3 of that if you’re lucky and get an employee that doesn’t hate life.

Free? Give me a break. I want to buy a good food at a moderate price with a real money. Free fries are just a nightmare, an enemy of my stomach and food-life.

So I guess this has become the place to come complain about free food and everything related to Burger King? Happy Easter 😉
