Free Doritos Locos Taco from Taco Bell During World Series: Steal a Base, Steal a Taco
In the World Series, if a player steals a base, you steal a taco. The World Series starts this Wednesday, October 24th and America gets a FREE Doritos Locos Taco (review, review) from Taco Bell when a base is stolen.
If a player steals a base at any time in the first four games of the World Series, Taco Bell will give out free Doritos Locos Tacos between 2-6pm on Tuesday, October 30th. If no one steals a base during the first four games, but a base is stolen in games five through seven, Taco Bell will distribute free Doritos Locos Tacos on Monday, November 5th between 2-6pm.
About time! They’ve skipped this the past few years. I usually end up hitting 2 or 3 Taco Bell’s when this happens. For all you sports fans out there: SF Giants: 118 SB (4th NL), StL Cardinals: 91 SB (13th NL), DET Tigers: 59 SB (13th AL)
Whats with the silly steal a base requirement? It’s going to happen, just give the tacos away for free.
There’s gotta be a stolen base – that’s the rule!
I know I should not but, I love those those things.
Lets just say at some point we are all getting a free taco
With the Tigers in the World Series, I wouldn’t expect many stolen bases… GO TIGERS though! And this offer is a bummer … I only like the Dorito Locos Tacos SUPREMES. Hmph! Without the sour cream the taco’s an overly salty mess.
Sour cream is disgusting!!
Like fun it is! Sour cream brings balance to a laden greasy, salty & spicy taco. Makes delicious onion potato chip dip too.
Supreme is decent, however the best way to do it is get a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, but have them “upgrade” to the Dorito shell. It’s only 10 cents more and is probably the best thing on the whole Taco Bell menu… try it!
I’ve done just that. I noticed that I could pretty much not taste the shell at all though.
It is an interesting campaign. I get a new perspective of World Series.
Maybe it’s just me, but the Doritos Locos Taco is the most overrated item ever. It’s ok but I don’t need orange fingers when I’m eating a darn taco.
It is overrated. The shells are nowhere even close to the actual nacho chip. The ones I had were soggy & lacked crunch & didn’t have much nacho cheese flavor. They just made a salty food even more salty. I think it was just a gimmick for a country hungry for a new gimmick.
And it is done! Angel Pagan, SF Giants leadoff hitter & CF – bottom of the 8th, 1 out – slides under the throw from Tigers catcher Gerald Laird & that is the stolen base! Tuesday October 30th – free afternoon snack coming our way.
