Discussion: Your Last Meal

Fortunately, I’m not on death row. A last meal is sort of puzzling knowing that imminent sacred silence is what follows. I’m not sure if I’d even be hungry. A recent viewing of a show on the Discovery Channel has me wondering, what would I want as my last meal. Morbid thought… What would your last meal request consist of? I’d take careful consideration to the Sirloin and Seafood Au Poivre at Steak and Main that I just destroyed.

Two Chili cheese dogs from Weinerschnitzel, a box of chicken from Popeye’s and a chocolate milk shake.

  2. Kathy says:

I can’t really think of any fancy specifics other than lots and lots of dairy. I’d probably happily eat my weight of pizza, macaroni and cheese, cheese in general, ice cream/milkshakes, lovely milk chocolate etc etc.

I figure that I’d probably be zapped before my ‘oh sweet mother kill me now’ lactose pains set in. ;D

Well I supposed it would be different depending on weather or not I was guilty of the crime I was being put to death for.

Innocent – a glass of water

Guilty – Ribeye steak medium rare, fries, fresh tossed romano salad with blue cheese dressing and bacon, a case of ice cold Pabst, butter cake with milk chocolate frosting, and a cup of coffee.

Certainly nothing we review here haha

I would want, eggs, ham, toasted baguette, a syringe filled with beurre monte, malt liquor and a gun. I may as well end it myself.

    • TJ says:

Lol malt liquor and a gun, I don’t really care about the food you mentioned, that’s a quality approach sir!

  5. Patrick Day says:

Chili cheese dog and chili cheese fries from Der Wienerschnitzel, In and Out Double Double, Lobster Tail and Tortellini Cremonisi from Paolo’s, a local amazing Italian joint.

  6. Jim says:

I would want my wife’s homemade lasagna, a Caesar salad, garlic toast, and a cannoli from Mozzicato’s in Hartford CT.

  7. Candace says:

My last meal would no question, be a burger from this place in Brooklyn called Abistro. Juiciest burger I’ve ever had in my 20 (21 years on Thursday) years of life.

Deep dish pizza is second… but not a close one. 🙂

  8. jessica s. says:

Cheese pizza topped with Pecorino romano, Bufala mozzarella, asiago, provolone, havarti, shaved truffles, fresh spinach, artichoke hearts, and garlic. Also, perfectly fried eggplant parmigiana, tempura fried vegetables with an assortment of dipping sauces, a bottle of cognac, and a peanut butter hot fudge sundae.

  9. chris says:

Filet mignon, cheesy garlic bread, baked potato with butter and sour cream, steamed broccoli with velveeta melted on top, a pizza puff, a six pack of Blue Moon, and a chocolate shake to finish it all off.

  10. Stephen says:

Chocolate cake shake from Portillos, Duck fat fries from Hot Doug’s, also a pork and beef knockwurst infused with Swiss cheese and a spicy 4 cheese mayo and crispy onions on top, which also is from Hot Doug’s…and some Lou Malnati’s deep dish with sausage and pepperoni. Yessss

    • Sandy says:

Yes, Chicago guy, I am right there with you! I would also have a gyro plate from one of the local places in Chitown. And, chopped salad from Portillos and fresh shucked oysters from Shaws and a burger from Poag Mahones, Spring Rolls and Shrimp and Veggie Tempura from Star of Siam and, and, and…yea I could go on an on. Oh, and to wash everything down, a few dirty martinis made with Tito’s from Gilt Bar.

  11. Oh god, I would want A HUGE FEAST so I could have a bite of EVERYTHING before I go… this feast would include:
    – Sashimi (Unagi, Salmon, Hamachi, Escolar, Chilean Sea Bass)
    – Hamachi Kama
    – Salmon Skin & Salmon Belly
    – Clam Sauce Baked Salmon
    – Spaghetti Squash
    – Garlic Roasted Brussels Sprouts
    – Mac & Cheese, A Donut (or maybe I few… I haven’t had a donut or mac & cheese for that matter in OVER 9 years… that’s why I’d have to ask for them).
    – Ground Ostrich &/or Venison &/or GF Beef

    Hmmmmm Sounds like XMAS!

  13. Manavee says:

Weird. Just today, I was watching a video that went through all of the last meals of various executed prisoners. It was kind of interesting, in a morbid sort of way.

As for me, I’d Probably go with a Portillo’s Italian beef with hot peppers, with Portillo’s fries, and a slice of Portillo’s chocolate cake.

  14. Rusty Shackleford says:

I’d ask for the world’s rarest truffle. Then while they were searching for it, I’d tunnel my way to freedom. Of course, then I’d miss eating the world’s rarest truffle… Quite the quandary.

  15. rey says:

Cheese enchiladas, crunchy tacos with tons of cheese, tons of hot sauce, a gallon of coca-cola with that wonderful sonic ice, pasta salad with a gallon of olive oil, and whataburger #5 add grilled jalapenos.

  16. TJ says:

I’d definitely just go with my greasy favorites, as many of them as would be allowed… A slice of Round Table Pizza, a slice of Pizza Hut stuffed crust pizza, Red Lobster’s cheddar bay biscuits with a couple fried shrimp, a Taco Bell Chalupa, a Wienerschnitzel chili dog and chili cheese fries, a spicy chicken sandwich from Jack in the Box, and a sausage Mcmuffin w/egg.

I wouldn’t want to get sick with my last meal, so I’d have about 2-3 bites per item. I’d ask to donate the rest to dogs or something lol.

  17. Brandon says:

I’d hate to ruin your ideas, but after reading an article it says most prisons only allow up to $20 worth of food. But if I had the option of choosing anything, I suppose it would be lots of seafood. Crawfish cooked in cajun seasonings, crab, lobster with garlic. I’d have that $1,000 ice cream sold in new york.

  18. VanessaG says:

My last meal request would be a huge stack of blueberry pancakes with melty pb on top and hot syrup.

  19. Kendall says:

Sour cream and onion chips, with some dip, man. Some beef jerkey, some peanut butter. Get some Hagen-Dagz ice-cream bars. A whole lotta of chocolate. Gotta have chocolate, man. Some popcorn, pink popcorn. GRAHAM CRACKERS!!! Graham crackers with the marshmallows. Little marshmallows with little chocolate bars and we’ll make some s’mores man. Celery, grape jelly, Captain Crunch with the little crunch berries, pizzas, we need two big pizzas, man, everything on ’em, water, a whole lotta water and…….Funyuns. Yeah.

  20. Dannielle says:

    A Shamrock shake and a McRib. >_>

  21. kikurage says:

My request is a good cooled beer and some pieces of smoked cheese. I want not a special meat but what I eat ordinarily. I want to close my life feeling my-every-days.

  22. simon says:

Reminds me of a Cyanide & Happiness comic where the guy asks for a PB&J for his last meal, and he’s allergic to peanuts, therefore killing himself in the process, depriving the officer the satisfaction of ending his life. LOL
But my last meal would probably involve some beef tartare or sushi, raw delicacies that I am too scared to try now but hear good things about

  23. Bob says:

    Lobster brains.

  24. SkippyMom says:

To break of the monotony of one last day in my 9×12 prison cell I would go down to the prison kitchen and make fried chicken, oyster dressing with gravy, corned beef and cabbage, chicken and dumplings, fajitas, shish kebab, yeast rolls and kinklings. Plus my all time favorite snack of white rice, fresh, crisp yellow corn and a spoon of marina sauce all mixed up.

If I didn’t feel up to cooking [with the whole “my impending death” thing and all] I would order the $5 special from our local Mexican run pizza parlor. They make the best NY style pizza [their fresh dough is amazing with tons of mozzarella on top. OMG!] I can get two pieces with a can of Pepsi for 5 bucks. Best deal in town.

  25. Lemontree says:

king crab legs. drawn butter. perrier-jouët belle epoque blanc de blancs.
