New Peach and Key Lime Milkshakes from Steak ‘n Shake

Have you ever been to Steak ‘n Shake? I haven’t, but ever since reading that the chain will soon be coming to New York City, I’ve been curious to try them out. My curiosity has only increased since seeing some of the chain’s newest offerings, including their limited-time only Peach and Key Lime milkshakes.

They run at 500 calories (19 g fat) and 630 calories (23 g fat) respectively, but if there’s one thing I love on a summer day, it’s a classic, hand-spun milkshake. Have you tried the milkshakes at Steak n’ Shake? Do they live up to their reputation? And what other menu items are a must try at the popular fast casual burger chain?

Their milkshakes are amazing. I love just a simple chocolate shake but I’ve also had the mint chocolate chip shake which is good. I enjoy their chicken fingers and skinny fries.

I concur, their shakes are quite good. I always get banana.

I love their Frisco Melts. Very very good.

Also can’t go wrong with a steak burger.

The shakes are pretty good! They’re the best you can do here in Nowhere, Indiana, in any case. The foods a little pricey (or at least it was until everybody else’s prices caught up with them), but I’m confident you’ll find something that clicks with you. If yours does breakfast, I say give the Royale Steakburger a shot.

Gauacamole steakburger (without the chipotle sauce). Western BBQ steakburger. California Steakburger. Cheesy Cheddar Steakburger. You really can’t go wrong.

Also, get a coca cola with both cherry and vanilla flavoring. Sometimes you have to stir it, taste it and ask again because they get confused and only put one flavor in instead of both but, when it’s right, it’s one of the best things in the entire world. I also suggest you eat inside instead of picking up or driving through. The food is better and your burger avoids getting smashed in any wrapping, etc.

It bums me out that we still have no Steak & Shake where I live in Va. I haven’t been to one in years.

I find the milkshakes are only worth the price when they are buy one get one free (M-F 2-4PM/AM). Take a friend and split the cost.

I used to work at Steak N Shake when I was in high school and all I did was work the fountain. They offer some great varieties of shakes and food, although their menu has drastically changed in the five years since i have worked there. I used to love their Turkey Melt with Frisco Sauce, AKA 1,000 Island Dressing, but you can’t go wrong with a classic Steakburger. Also, if you get a chance, you have to go their in the Fall when they bring out their seasonal shakes. Used to have a Caramel Apple Shake (Apple flavored shake with hot caramel sauce dripped over top). It was delicious and perfect around Thanksgiving. I hope they still bring that shake out. Anyone else every try that shake before??

Really folks?! You guys are sorely deprived. Atlanta’s Steak ‘n Shake milk shakes are an ultimate treat; if I’m gonna be bad, its has to be sinfully good!
