Food News: Taco Time offering Fish “Street” Tacos

Just as Taco Bell has started to market their Pacific Shrimp Taco (read our review here), fellow fast food chain Taco Time has unveiled a new, limited time only Fish Taco to their line of “authentic” street tacos.

Clocking in at 340 calories and 22 grams of fat, the two taco combo features “lightly breaded white fish with zesty fish taco sauce” and is served on soft corn tortillas with diced onions and cilantro. From the looks of my local Taco Time, the Shrimp Tacos – along with pork carnitas and chicken Street Tacos – are being offered for $3.99. Looks like another solid option for the Lenten season for all those who want an alternative to the standard fried fish sandwich.

That’s funny. Both the Taco Time and Qdoba here are across from a taqueria that has been serving “street tacos” both cheaper and better for many years now.

This is one of the reasons why I go to a family-owned restaurant for real, more accurately presented tacos…

    Stop trolling us Taco Bell.
