Food News: Starbucks Gets A New Logo

Starbucks has dropped the “Starbucks” name from it’s logo.  But how will we know where our $4 cup of coffee is from? 🙁

Throughout the last four decades, the Siren has been there through it all. And now, we’ve given her a small but meaningful update to ensure that the Starbucks brand continues to embrace our heritage in ways that are true to our core values and that also ensure we remain relevant and poised for future growth.

    No good.
    The old logo is just fine.
    Most people on the web thinks it looks cheap and I am inclined to agree.

    Marketing genius strikes again. I haven’t been this impressed since TBS debuted their “very funny” slogan. Brilliant!

    Oh, you know. That’s why they did it. It’s like when Circuit City was allegedly planning to rename itself to The City. Except, y’know, Starbucks went through with it and didn’t die off instead.

    Big mistake. Looks like a generic cup from a coffee vending machine. I don’t think the “mermaid” is as recognizable without the words “STARBUCKS COFFEE” surrounding her as they think.

    Now that is pretty terrible. If they wanted to do away with
    they Coffee idea they could have just replaced the word coffee with
    the word Starbucks again. This just looks like some cheap rip

    how is anyone going to know its starbucks if it doesnt say
    starbucks in giant letters? isnt that why people buy starbucks in
