Food News: Cheesy Bacon Fries from Burger King

This could be old news, but it’s new to me… today I spotted Cheesy Bacon Fries at Burger King.  I did a little Google search on them and didn’t find anything so I’m figuring this could be new to the GrubGrade readers too.  Anyone come across these yet?  We had a lot of feedback on Chili Cheese Fries spotted at a Wendy’s earlier this week and now I find cheese fries with bacon.  Could loaded fries be a new trend in fast food?

Man, Rally’s was Loading their Fries before it was cool. I can’t trust BK’s bacon bits at all if they’re anything like those chew toys they put on their burgers.

Maybe everyone is going after loaded fries since Hardee’s brought back their Cheddar Ranch fries??

I don’t get it. To me, a fry is about the crispy exterior and puffy interior. How do I get that with something covered in salty, processed tasting chili and beef?

I’ll pass on this… I’m not a fan of the bacon bits. So I guess I’m with Maxchain on this one.

i sure would love to see this around here since checkers is the only one with fries like that

If only a new trend would surface at fast food places. Maybe one that’s healthier for a person. Smaller portions, and reduced cup sizes. It’s insane what a medium means today. Today’s small used to be medium or large years ago. I’ll pass on this heavily processed turd.

Ross: Wah,wah, wah. If you don’t like fast food, then don’t get it. And also, why are you on this website if you don’t like fast food? It’s what probably 85% of this website is about.

Not for me, but I know lots of people that will enjoy them. It so funny how one restaurant does one thing and all the others follow. Wonder what the next new trend will be?

Sounds tasty, I’ll be waiting for this one and some serious heartburn!

    Look at the prices.

@ Alex: I apologize for not stating that I do purchase FF once or twice a week. It’s unfortunate that you took offense to my opinion, I’ll try not to step on your sensitive toes in the future.

Ewww. It’s like they said, “Let’s take all of our worst-quality ingredients and melt them all together.”

Another sub-par BK product, another shovel of dirt in the grave.
This just looks disgusting in addition to being overpriced.

In my illustrious effervescent shiny opinion that is ignored in extremity outside my hovel-like shanty a fry simply must be a crinkle-cut type to be worthy of inclusion within the gotta-have fry club.

Exceptions do exist as with allowing steak-fry type fries to coexist with a platter of fish-and-chips.

If a firm refuses to offer the wondrous crinkle-cut style fry then I will simply shun the fry offerings in almost all visits barring a few exceptions with one noted.

As it is written so it shall be.

Holy crap, $3.28 for a SMALL.

I’ll stick with Checkers, which, yeah, isn’t cheap either for their fully loaded fries but at least they’re good.

I thought that they were going to go with healthier food choices after dethroning The King. And yes I realize that new menu items are tested long in advance but still it could’ve been scrapped or something.
