Food News: Burrito Supreme for 99 cents at Taco Bell

No, it’s not authentic, but for 99 cents, who says it has to be? Taco Bell continues its rotating summer savings this week with the Burrito Supreme.

A warm, soft flour tortilla wrapped around seasoned beef, hearty beans, tangy red sauce, crisp shredded lettuce, real cheddar cheese, diced onions, diced ripe tomatoes, and reduced-fat sour cream.

The burrito is 420 calories and 15 grams of fat (7 g saturated), but packs 17 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber. With roughly 1140 grams of sodium though, just make sure you’re saving a banana or something for dessert 🙂

Hell, I’ll bite the bullet just to see what gets skimped on this time. It’s always the beef when they do this with the Crunchwrap Supreme, so, uh… it’s probably the beef again.

    Not even for free.

Tried it. Felt that $1 isn’t worth it. The 5-layer is better.

I don’t know how many of these they sell at the usual 2.50 price here apiece…
