Food News: Bourbon Glazed Jim Beam Burger from Red Robin

It’s the old good news/bad news scenario at Red Robin. The bad news? The Oktoberfest Burger is no longer available. The good news? The chain is keeping the limited-time only menu offerings going this November as it rolls out the all new Jim Beam Bacon Swiss Burger.

Satisfy your sweet (and meat) tooth with this JIM BEAM® bourbon-glazed burger. Topped with applewood smoked bacon, caramelized bourbon onions and melted Swiss cheese on a garlic-butter toasted brioche bun. Served with Bottomless Steak Fries®. No I.D. required.

And for those of you looking to get into the Holiday spirit, Red Robin is also offering a Gingerbread Shake topped with graham cracker crumbs and gingerbread cookie crumbles.

Gingerbread shake from Red Robin is something I look forward to every year. New burger sounds great, will have to try it ASAP.

  2. Mark says:

Would have preferred cheddar over the Swiss, but I’m sure I could easily ask for a different kind of cheese. Definitely need to try at some point.

I do not ever recall ever entering a Red Robin though I have seen their outlets in many towns, cities, etc.

Maybe their marketing folks need to endeavor in a different manner to compel those within my socio-economic group to clamor to pass through their portals and imbibe their fare and fork over my discretionary accumulated wealth without dashing away after my dining experience.

Do they have a buck-per-item “value menu”?

    • Ray says:

Sorry, but no value meal. Red Robin is not fast food. This is full service dinning. The location near me always seems to be packed so the marketing people are doing something right.

I must add that they have one of the best rewards/loyalty cards I’ve ever seen. You get a free appetizer just for signing up (no other purchase required), a free burger in your birthday month (not just on the actual day), $20 coupon if you visit 5 times in 5 weeks (carryout counts), buy 9 items get the 10th free (this stacks with other deals) and occasional offers via email (like $3 off next burger). I think their regular prices are about 20% too high but these offers more than make up for it.

Hmmm Looks interesting… might be worth a bite…

Just tried this. It was way too sweet for my tastes for a burger. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth, you might like it, I would guess.

The gingerbread shake was excellent, however.

  6. Kim says:

Had the burger two nights ago and it was excellent! Like Manavee said, it is sweet but I have a sweet tooth so I really enjoyed it.My husband, on the other hand, didn’t care for it but he doesn’t like sweet and savory together. Wish now I had tried the gingerbread shake too.
