Burger King Stackers: Single $1, Double $2, Triple $3

Burger King has released a new line of burgers new price structure and added a “single” size to their BK Stackers line of bacon cheeseburgers.  3 sizes of bacon cheeseburgers with “Stacker Sauce”… a Big Mac-esque, Thousand Island-y style spread.

I like the simple price structure, seems like a pretty decent deal.  Observe:

  • $1.00 BK Single Stacker:  Behold 1 patty, 1 slice of cheese & 2 half slices of bacon smothered in BK® Stacker sauce. This flame-broiled starter stacker is a most formidable crave-crusher.

  • $2.00 BK Double Stacker: Step up to 2 patties, 1 slice of cheese & 3 half slices of bacon smothered in BK® Stacker sauce. The second story of meaty, cheesy, bacony deliciousness ensures massive hunger destruction.

  • $3.00 BK Triple Stacker: This mountainous monument of meat boasts 3 patties, 2 slices of cheese & 3 half slices of bacon all smothered in BK® Stacker sauce. This shrine of meaty cheesy, goodness is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of meatatarians.

why get 1 tripple instead of 3 singles?

    Stacker Sauce = Animal Style?

  3. Cath says:

I had the single yesterday and I didn’t notice any “stacker sauce”! It was good comfort food on a cold, rainy day. My boyfriend was disappointed with the triple. It was kind of smooshed together and not very impressive looking.

    What’s the Stacker Sauce?

  5. Koni says:

These burgers aren’t new, actually. They’ve been around for years. Looks like they’re just on sale. Stacker sauce is really good–it’s a replay of the “King Sauce” that was in use in the early 2000’s for the “Big King”, a Big Mac imitator.

  6. Joe says:

Yeah these burgers are years old, but they are really good. $2 for a double is a steal

  7. mattitude says:

I will be honest and tell you get it without thr Stacker Sauce, you will be glad and thank me if you do!

  8. Chefprotoss or dan says:

Yeah, these have been around forever. Except for the single. Thats new. They used to come in double tripple and quad. Stacker sauce is bk’s spread, thousand isle, mac sauce, secret sauce whatever you wanna call it version. I used to get the quad in high school. I also think they used to come with whole slices of bacon but I could be wrong.

    • Ryan says:

Cool thanks for the info. I guess I should have reworded how I described these as a “new line of burgers” haha… because I’ve definitely seen the Double/Triple/Quad Stackers for at least a year now it seems.

FWIW, BK Stackers were introduced back in 2006, and I can still remember when my friend and I just HAD to try one on the first day they were available. This new pricing structure is a good deal compared to how much they cost before.

And the Single Stacker is new, while the Quad Stacker has been all but discontinued.

Nice try! Fool me twice, Burger King bacon, shame on me. I’ll stick with the Buck Double.

    • Mike N says:

I was at BK on 3/1 and there was no more Buck Double! They said they just got rid of it that day. I think the single snacker is the replacement.

    • Raiders757 says:

Agreed. BK bacon is pathetic pseudo bacon. It’s about time they blow up their ideals and their menu, then start over again from the ground up. Easily one of the worst fast food chains these days.

  11. jay says:

So If you get 3 singles you get 3 patties, 3 slices of cheese, and six half slices of bacon, plus two more buns. Anyone who buys a triple is an idiot.

  12. Mikey says:

Eating the double now. These are basically economy versions of what used to be a really good, artery-clogging sandwich. Guess there’s no way to order one the way the used to be!

  13. somesteve says:

    love those things.

  14. Bubbs says:

I’ve always been a fan of the double stack, … I got a couple of singles yesterday and was totally satisfied for $2. I love the sauce on this burger even though it just disintegrates into the cheese and soggifies the bacon.

But I don’t know how misleading the food designer intended to be with the promotional picture. The bacon that comes on the sandwich is not the crisp and thick bacon you see in the pic…. the bacon you actually get is paper-thin, soggy, and almost tasteless.

None of the “half-slices” are long enough to extend from end-to-end of the burger like in the picture.

I STILL love this little $1 burger though. They should just be a little less ridiculous with their promotional pictures. I suppose they hired the guy who did the promo pics for that new Arby’s Angus 3 cheese & bacon….

  15. Michael says:

I will not be getting any of these stackers. At my BK they still have the double cheeseburger on the menu for 1.29. You mean to tell me a double stacker is going to cost me .71 more, less a slice of cheese and replacing it with three weak pieces of bacon? I don’t think so.

    • todd says:

Just had a double the other day and immediately thought the same about a regular double cheese being 1.29. What a scam.

  16. bill says:

anyone who buys anything but multiple singles is an idiot you get more bacon and more bun

  17. Swanee says:

Did BK downsize this? Calories went down 25% from when it was not on special.

  18. Marko says:

I like Burger King’s burgers better than the that of the other major chains in my area. The BK Double for $1.oo was removed from the menu the day the promotion for the BK Stackers was initiated. With only one more slice of cheese, the double cheesburger was almost one-third more expensive than the BK Double. I think Burger King is going to lose customers to other restaurants due to the loss of the BK Double. The Stackers are too different a product line and aren’t comparable.

  19. Israel says:

its good.i feel my blood pressure go up with each bite.

  20. Desie says:

I use to eat @ BK at least once a week usually twice. I have not and will not eat there again unless they bring back the buck double. It will be McDoubles until then.

  21. ann_coe1 says:

I tend to agree with Bubbs–the $1 stacker was good, having a sesame bun (which the other major chain did not have–so I cannot agree with Desie above)–but the special thousand island based sauce somehow did disintegrate into the cheese so the taste of the sauce was obliterated abit without the lettuce separating the sauce from the yellow cheese. The overall analyzation of the basic stacker by me and my opinion for the stacker was very good for the price of $1. have a good day, Ann

THOUGH HOLYJUAN’S RESEARCH IS EXEMPLARY, THE ONE FACT MISSING IN HIS COMMENTARY AND OTHER COMMENTARY, AS WELL AS THE ADVERTISER’S, IS THE MENTION OF THE ALL-IMPORTANT SESAME SEED BUN DISPLAYED BY BK, SINCE THE OTHER MAJOR CHAIN ONLY MAKES USE OF AN ORDINARY BUN FOR THEIR SIMILAR PRODUCT. SINCERELY, ANN

  23. Stacker Guy says:

Now our Local BK only gives 1 – 1/2 slice of bacon on the single stacker, but since it is the new thicker bacon it actually taste like there is more bacon than before. But yes it is more for the money to buy multiply single stackers – but I guess some people love to spend a little more to not have to remove the extra bread lol….
