Food News: It’s Pumpkin Time at Einstein Bros!

As GrubGrade’s resident pumpkin enthusiast, nothing delights me more than indulging on a sweet treat of the fall’s best vegetable. And while the ever elusive pumpkin pie pop-tart still eludes me, I’m happy to report that fast casual chain Einstein Bros has brought back their line of fall flavors. Einstein’s fall treats include all of last year’s favorites, including the Pumpkin Bagel (250 calories, 1.5 g fat, 0 g sat, 7 grams sugar), Pumpkin Spice Muffin (580 calories, 29 g fat, 7 g sat, 48 g sugar), Pumpkin Bagel Poppers (380 calories, 3.5 g fat, 1 g sat, 34 sugar) and that amazing rich Pumpkin cream cheese. Also, be on the lookout for a new addition to the menu, the Pumpkin Walnut Crunch Bagel (450 calories, 12 g fat, 2 g sat, 25 g sugar).

My breakfast. And lunch. And dinner. For all of October.

Last fall we reviewed the Pumpkin Bagel Poppers, and only concluded that they were among the best fall menu items ever developed like, ever. I’ve already stocked my fridge with pumpkin cream cheese, but have yet to see my local EBB carry the poppers or the new walnut-topped bagel. What say you? Will you be trying out EBB’s fall menu?

The only thing I’ve had there from their fall menu is the pumpkin bagel, but I’m dying to try everything else, especially those bagel poppers and the pumpkin cream cheese!

Okay, another delicious-sounding meal I can’t eat b/c it is not near me! I’m dying for pumpkin cream cheese!

My Einsteins doesn’t have the poppers, cream cheese or walnut pumpkin yet either, but I just stocked up on pumpkin bagels today!

On the Pumpkin Pop Tarts, I finally found them at Target (a regular one, not a Super Target) back with the Halloween stuff (it was next to the cheap Halloween toys along with the Halloween Chocolate Fudge flavor). They are pretty darn good! They may not be as good as Starbucks’ Pumpkin Scone, but at 200 calories a pop (versus 480 something for the scone) they are fantastic!
