had this last week at the Cosi at Grand and Rush…still not sure if I like it…agree it would be great with some tequila… but def worth trying

I had one the other day in Columbia, MD. It was SOO good. Perfect on a hot day. The flavors mixed well together, the watermelon was sweet, and the pepper left a slight tingle in the back of my throat. Perfectly balanced, in my opinion.

I still haven’t tried it. I’ve been craving Cosi… and I see they have a CrabCake Melt as a seasonal menu item. I wonder if that’s any good?

Finally, after weeks of hesitation and the drink’s popularity causing it to always be out of stock at my local Così, I got to savor the much talked about Watermelon Habanero Lemonade. I had high hopes for this drink because A. D.C. has been scorching this summer and I’m always down for a tasty refreshing thirst-quencher and B. I had tried the Watermelon Lemonade at sweetgreen (http://www.sweetgreen.com/) across the street, so I thought I would also enjoy Così’s version with habanero.

The drink is definitely tasty, definitely refreshing, and gave me this incredible cooling sensation all over when I drank it…however, I felt that the habanero didn’t belong. Every other ingredient in the drink agreed with my taste buds except for the habanero, but when paired with Così’s Signature Salad, it was impossible to taste the habanero after awhile. Needless to say, I sipped every lost drop, ate the chunks of watermelon inside, and refilled my glass with Coke Zero before leaving 😉
