Food News: Dairy Queen Blizzard of the Month for February 2010, Midnight Truffle Blizzard

It’s now February and that means a new Blizzard of the Month over at Dairy Queen.  This time it’s the Midnight Truffle Blizzard.  You might remember this Blizzard treat as being the featured Blizzard back in April 2009.  We have our impressions if you’re interested.  This Blizzard combines rich chocolate truffles and chunks of cocoa fudge with silky vanilla soft serve ice cream. 770 calories and 38 grams of fat for a small. Go ahead and skip lunch.

  1. Maybe it’s just from being pregnant but that looks so freaking good! YUM!! I’ve been going through a real bad ice cream phase. Baby Brooks loves the ice cream!

770 calories?! Wow. That’s something I just don’t get with Dairy Queen treats, Blizzards specifically. How in the heck can it have that many calories?! I eat ice cream all the time at home and I know (hope?) I’m not eating that many calories. I mean, it’s just *ice cream.* Yikes.

    Looks delicious, though. 🙂

I’m guessing it’s the amount of ingrediants they put in the product. The more ingrediants, the more calories. That, or it may be the amount of sugar.

I just had what I assume was the January Blizzard of the month last Saturday, and it was amazing! It was some kind of turtle pecan thing, but now it’s gone 🙁
