Classic Commercial: Honey Nut Cheerios from 1984
I was only 3 years old when this commercial originally aired. Now 25 years later, I still remember it. It’s strange how certain things stick with you.
Honey Nut Cheerios Fun Facts:
- Introduced in 1979
- BuzzBee is currently voiced by Billy West (also the voice of Ren & Stimpy and Doug (original Nickelodeon version)
- The Bee was nameless until the year 2000
Hahaha, awesome! So for his 21st birthday he got a name, WTF is that? I’d be pissed 😛
That’s a great commercial. You can’t go wrong with HNCs!
I love Billy West…especially as Doug….you know, I even liked the New Disney Doug….expect the whole thing with Roger getting rich and all.
Billy West is the Man! Futurama is my all-time favorite show.
I thought Honey Nut Cheerios was older than 30 years… Although 30 years is a fairly respectable amount of time… Wow, now I feel old.
@ Justin … Well Cheerio’s (I think) have been around since the 1940s…but Honey Nut didn’t come out until 1979. How could people stand it that long without some Honey Nut?
@ Justin
You feel old?! I remember when there was no such thing as Honey Nut Cheerios.
@ Ryan
We didn’t know any better. Cheerios were great with lots of sugar dumped all over them.
I agree with Raiders757-The sugar definitely makes the Cheerios.
I like the new Banana Nut Cheerios. They are really good. The Multi-grain are pretty good too.
I loves me some Honey Nut Cheerios. Straight outta the box, even!
I can’t believe these launched in 1979. I should file a grievance against my family for feeding me regular Cheerios until at least 1989.
