Food News: The Six Dollar Cheeseburger from Carl’s Jr.
Carl’s Jr. has fired another shot in the direction of McDonald’s. This time it’s the Carl’s Jr. Six Dollar Cheeseburger (only $2.79) going up against the Quarter Pounder with Cheese from McD’s. Almost twice as big, 100% Black Angus beef and cheaper than the McDonald’s Quarter Pounder. I love competition 🙂 . Oh, the Six Dollar Cheeseburger has 790 calories, 43 grams of fat and 47 grams of protein.
…and now for some commercials.
If you try it don’t forget to take some pictures.
Ack! The mere mention of Quarter Pounder with Cheese from McD’s make me hurl a little.
Gimme Carl’s Jr.! – if we had one ’round here. But I’ve already complained about that already.
I just ate a Double Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese, no pickles, extra onions. It was so good I ate the box it came in too.
This is another sandwich that looks nothing like the picture..I didn’t even get that second piece of cheese as shown….its a thicker, dryer version of the quarter pounder, I don’t know how a patty so thick could be that dry…those skinny patties from Mc D’s are somehow juicier.
I just had a head to head competition with the $6 Cheeseburger vs. the Big Carl. I really like them both, and while I agree with Jenne above (the Angus patty on the $6 burger looks drier), it has MUCH better flavor than the regular Big Carl patties (which look like little kid patties next to the Angus patty).
If you ever do a taste comparison, always eat the Big Carl first… going from the Angus patty to the regular ones is tough (but still doable)…
Happy Post THANKSGIVIN’ everyone
