Celebrate Valentine’s Day with  Heart-Shaped Pizza from Papa John’s.  Take a look:

Papa John’s announced that from February 11 through February 14, it is offering a one-topping, heart-shaped pizza on thin crust and a Cinnapie for $14.99, or two heart-shaped, thin-crust pizzas with one topping for $19.99.

“Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to spend time with the ones you love, while enjoying one of America’s favorite foods: pizza,” says Andrew Varga, Papa John’s chief marketing officer. “Our heart-shaped pizza started as a local promotion and so many customers asked for it, it has now grown into a national offering.”

Super Bowl 44 is this Sunday, February 7th.  Papa John’s has a “Toppings for Touchdowns” promotion going for the big game.  For every touchdown scored by the winning team, customers will receive a Free Topping on a $9.00 Large Cheese Pizza. So chances are we’ll be seeing maybe 3 or 4 free toppings coming our way.  The offer will be good for the 3 days following the game (Monday February 8th through Wednesday February 10th). Maybe Papa John’s will make up a little money for all they will miss out on because of this east coast blizzard that’s approaching.  One of the biggest pizza days of the year and I’m sure sales in the Mid-Atlantic states will be crushed because of the weather.  Super Bowl predictions anyone?  I’m kind of pulling for the Saints but my prediction is Colts 31 Saints 27.

Feast your eyes on the size of this thing…and then go get yourself a snack because you’ll still be hungry.  This Cinnapie from Papa John’s looks nothing like the picture in the ad.  This was a free Cinnapie with purchase of a large 2-topping for $11.99.

It’s the first Sunday of the 2009 NFL season so it’s hard to avoid commercial after commercial of some game-time worthy grub.  Here’s something new (sort of) from Papa John’s.  Something to finish off a meal…a streusel dessert… Fresh Dough Cinnapie.  Currently FREE with a purchase of a Large 2-topping Pizza.

We’ve topped our ALWAYS FRESH, original dough with sweet cinnamon filling, drizzled it with white icing and baked it to perfection.
