Domino’s came out with a new pizza recipe earlier this year and Jack in the Box is doing the same but with their french fries.  This month, Jack in the Box will debut a new taste to their menu in the form of a revamped french fry recipe. Available at participating restaurants and approx. priced at $1.39 (small), $1.79 (medium) and $1.99 (large).

French fry connoisseurs are a most discerning sort, perhaps even more so than their wine-tasting counterparts. Whereas wine aficionados practice five basic evaluations – color, swirl, smell, taste and savor – a true fries connoisseur also considers things like crispness, temperature, even freshness. The culinary experts for Jack in the Box® restaurants have crunched all of these criteria, and more, in creating what they believe to be Jack’s best-ever French fries. Jack in the Box will begin rolling out the new French fries this month.

New to the Jack in the Box salad line-up is the Grilled Chicken Salad.

“A blend of iceberg, romaine & spring mix topped with grilled chicken tenders, cheddar cheese, grape tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, carrots and served with Low Fat Balsamic dressing & croutons.”

Suggested price of $4.99, this Grilled Chicken Salad joins the Southwest Chicken Salad and the Chicken Club Salad.  251 calories and 9 grams of fat when you go without dressing….roughly 480 calories and 16 grams of fat with dressing.

Jack in the Box is introducing New Grilled Sandwiches.  A nice break from the burgers and chicken sandwiches, JITB is setting it’s sights on taking a bite out of the local deli sales.  Price: $3.99 each plus tax.  Keep an eye out for a new Jack in the Box ad during the Super Bowl this Sunday.

Turkey, Bacon & Cheddar: Roasted turkey, two slices of cheddar cheese and two bacon strips topped with a sundried tomato sauce on grilled artisan bread.  (647 calories, 30 grams of fat, 93 mg cholesterol, 2128 mg sodium, 53 grams of carbs, 5 grams dietary fiber, 4 grams sugar, 39 grams of protein)

The Deli Trio: Genoa salami, sliced ham, roasted turkey, two slices of provolone cheese and two pickle fillets topped with a creamy Italian sauce on grilled artisan bread.  (627 calories, 28 grams of fat, 80 mg cholesterol, 2461 mg sodium, 54 grams of carbs, 4 grams dietary fiber, 3 grams sugar, 37 grams of protein)

The Teriyaki Bowls at Jack in the Box have been pretty successful for the San Diego based fast food chain.  New to the line of bowls will be making it’s debut on Monday, November 9th.  The Southwest Chicken Bowl is made with “fajita-seasoned chicken, rice, grilled onions, and peppers, and topped with shredded cheddar cheese and a tangy cilantro lime sauce”.  Priced at $4.29, they will be available for a limited time at participating locations.

Everyone seems to be taking shots at the McDonald’s Big Mac these days.  The Big Carl and The Big Hardee are currently on a campaign to upstage the McD’s classic burger.  Boasting more meat, less bread.  Jack in the Box is joining in on the fun by bringing back their Bonus Jack burger. Introduced in 1970 (2 years after the McDonald’s Big Mac), the Bonus Jack is basically the JITB version of a Big Mac.  Two regular beef patties, Jack’s Famous Secret sauce, shredded lettuce, American cheese and a pickle on a 3 piece bun.  The Bonus Jack is back for a limited time for $3.99 ($3.99 bundle includes a small drink and small fries).

The great deals keep coming.  Now it’s Jack in the Box…offering up it’s “Big Cheeseburger” for a limited time price of just $1.00 at participating restaurants (I hate the at participating restaurants clause).  The Big Cheeseburger - aka the Big Texas Cheeseburger in the Lone Star State –  is a “jumbo beef patty topped with American and Swiss-style cheeses, mayo-onion sauce and ketchup on a sesame seed bun.” 

The Big Cheeseburger from JITB will set you back 646 calories and 39 grams of fat
