Food News: Uno Chicago Grill Offers Up Flavors of New Orleans
Mardi Gras may be squarely in the rear view mirror, but the folks over at Uno Chicago Grill are serving up a Cajun feast for a limited time with their New Orleans Jazz Festival of Flavors. The new, limited-time only menu features some tempting items, including a Cajun Blackned Mahi-Mahi, a Shrimp Po-Boy sandwich, and a Chicken and Sausage gumbo that looks every bit the part.
The popular chain also stays true to its namesake with the new menu items, offering up two different styles of Cajun-inspired pizzas. Have a look:

CHICKEN & ANDOUILLE SAUSAGE FLATBREAD
Our all-natural flatbread crust layered with sliced grilled chicken and andouille sausage, peppers, onions and plum tomatoes, a spicy red sauce, mozzarella and Cheddar.JAMBALAYA DEEP DISH
A ‘mix up’ of chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage in a red sauce with plum tomatoes, layered with cheese, and spiced with a Cajun cayenne mix.
The new menu also includes a 6 oz. top sirloin steak infused with Wowza Sauce, a boneless chicken “bites” appetizer, and a “Ragin’ Pasta” that looks like your traditional Jambalaya, only sans rice. A “chocolate chocolate” Malt Layer Cake and Bananas Foster are offered as dessert items as well.
The best part is that you don’t have to feel guilty about giving the new menu the old college try, as Uno’s Chicago Grill was recently named America’s Healthiest Chain Restaurant by Health.com. The 6 oz Sirloin Steak (320 calories, 10 grams fat) and the Cajun Mahi-Mahi look to be your best options here (420 calories, 26 grams fat), but bring a friend if you’re taking on the Jambalaya deep-dish Pizza, which weighs in with 114 grams of fat per pie.
